Chicken salad salad and shake is not the same. The salad usually has a scoop of chicken salad right in the center with pieces of cheese, this was not the case. They don’t have the Potbelly vinaigrette anymore. The Oreo shake was more like Oreo flavored milk.

I have never wrote a Google review ever until today, I’m extremely furious, horrified and sickened. Whoever made my sand-which needs to get fired IMMEDIATELY!!! I love potbelly and have had great experiences at OTHER locations this was my FIRST time coming to this drive-through location NEVER AGAIN. I was eating my sandwich and it somewhat tasted like burnt bread so I didn’t think too deep into it until I got towards the end and it started to taste like chemicals, I started to feel like I couldn’t clear my throat because I felt bits of WHAT SEEMS TO BE the left over burnt food particles, grease and chemicals from the grill is when it is cleaned, my throat was burning and itching, who knows what else they did to my food, they basically POISONED my food, after an hour or two my stomach got extremely upset, I had heart burn and felt like throwing up. I don’t know who thought that this was a joke to play with somebody’s HEALTH. Whoever made my sandwhich tampered with it, they PURPOSELY PUT IT IN MY SANDWICH you can tell because of where they chose to add that disgusting burnt residue from the grill. I threw that piece from the sandwhich away and my other half that I had left including my cookie SMH. Waste of money and time. Please talk to this staff member immediately. Unacceptable.

Usually love this place, but something was going on in the drive-through today. First, there was only one car in front of me and it took quite a while. Secondly, I had a gift card with $40 on it, I handed it to the kid I’m not even sure if he swiped it and then told me that made my total exactly what it was. I had to talk to him back-and-forth about the gift card. He swiped it, and then I wasn’t charged anything further. He almost didn’t give it back to me in the end. I didn’t get the salad I ordered. I got a different salad. Messy overall.

Came here with my son, only ordered 2 large mac and cheeses. Sat down and waited about 20 minutes then after 3 other people came and left so I decided to get up and ask when my order would be done, the younger kid said “oh, I will start those for you now”. Mind you this was the person who took my order so he knew. Finally got our mac n cheese about 10 more minutes later.
Gave 3 stars because the food was still good, just not great service.

We usually come here and have no problems. Went through the drive thru, watched one of the employees drop the empty bag on the floor and then pick it up and start putting napkins and silverware in it. I asked for different bag because it fell on the floor. Then watched the manager drop one of the toppings that goes on our salad on the floor (in the package) and pick it up and throw it in our bag. They also gave us someone else’s food (an extra sandwich), I took everything back in and asked for a refund – watched them grab the extra sandwich (the one that was just in a complete strangers car) and give it to the next customer. I’m pretty confident that practice is against food safety code and illegal .
Manager had a bit of an attitude when I asked for a refund, which is kind of wild because I was so calm and waited patiently while they finished up with the rest of the drive thru line.
Feels like a no brainer to not pick items up off the floor and put them near people’s food. And it’s definitely a no branier to follow health codes. Makes me question their other cleanliness practices.

I like potbelly, they have nice sandwiches with good luncheon meats. The staff was very friendly and the kids really enjoyed the Mac and cheese. The salad also looked great. The bread is a bit soft for my taste, but still has a good flavor.

I ordered the chicken club with hot peppers, lettuce and mustard. Everyone was pleasant and I was in and out with my lunch. My only complaint is, it was supposed to be a hot club but my chicken was cold.

Ordered the farmhouse salad and the lettuce was so brown you couldn’t eat one piece of it. The manager even looked at it and said yeah that’s bad. I can’t believe they would give that to customers.

There are way better sandwiches out there like Jersey Mike’s, but I was so hungry and didn’t want to drive around.
The shakes are good. I got a roast beef sandwich and the beef was not very good. The place was clean though and great service.

I went to the Plainfield Potbelly on Route 59 today. Ordered a skinny chicken salad sandwich. Drove home ready to eat and there WAS NO CHICKEN SALAD on the sandwich. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me at this location in the past several months. Whoever answered the phone apologized and said they were training people. Sounds like there is a serious training problem since this is the 3rd time this has happened. The only reason there is a one star rating by me is because zero wasn’t an option. No more Potbelly for me.
