Wonderful restaurant! The food was to die for, the drinks were delicious, and the service was impeccable. My friends and I had a reservation here after going to the Carolina Tiger Rescue and I’d honestly drive back to Pittsboro from Greensboro just to visit here again!

We are in Pittsboro on an anniversary trip and this restaurant was high on the list of recommended spots. Never hurts when you get corroboration from a friend that it is excellent. Sadly they were out of the shrimp and grits but the dishes we had… pan-seared flounder and the Cedar Island fish fry were top notch. Don’t sleep in the biscuits either! Quite possibly the best fried oysters I’ve ever had. And I’d they have the toffee bread pudding / cake…get it!

This place is such a gem! The owners, servers, chefs, truly care about the quality of their food and giving the absolute best service to their guests to make the the whole experience from start to finish impeccable! During our visit, my boyfriend and I shared a fine bottle of Chianti wine. The server was so gracious as to always top off our glass as we finished. For appetizers we did a fish spread with relish served with saltine crackers. Very tasty! The hush puppies were really good as well. For the entrees I had a dumpling in the most delectable sauce with heirloom tomatoes. My boyfriend got the swordfish dish. We both ate every single bite, it was so delicious! Would love to go back soon to try some more food!

Knocked our socks off! Amazing quality, freshness, and flavor! Totally loved it. Hidden gem in Pittsboro. The Chef/Owner came and talked to us at the table, and we could totally feel his passion for this food! We will totally be back soon with friends!! Get a table while you can, because I predict it will be harder and harder to get a table as more people discover this place……

Decent little seafood spot in small town NC. The she crab soup was a little underwhelming, but the scallops were actually really well done; nice and soft with a good sear on them, over a rhubarb spread with some fresh veggies. I had the Irish cream pie for dessert, and it was really good, too. Kind of a limited menu, but it’s updated regularly because they’re using fresh ingredients, so that’s a positive!

We went there for the first time today. We did have a reservation that requested a high chair and they definitely delivered. The food and service are amazing! Paige was very attentive and friendly. We went around 5pm just as they open and appetizer came really fast! The fish entrees we ordered were very fresh and delicious. We had chocolate flourless torte and that was yummy too! We will definitely be back!

We’ve eaten here twice now. Food is fantastic. Service is great. They have raw oysters on the half shell listed on the menu, but when I asked if I could get them steamed, “No problem!” Spicy horseradish on the side. Topped the evening off with the “daily bread pudding”. Fig and Honey. Yum!
So much is locally sourced and in season. Highly recommend!

We decided to hop off the bypass of Pittsboro and venture into town. The Postal Fish company didn’t disappoint. Ample parking and an early 5:15 reservation is how our experience started. Our waitress was wonderful and we started with one a bourbon and a punch that came with a great pour…… followed by the fish spread with deep fried saltines….. absolutely great.
My wife had the Cajun smoked catfish which was super and a serving size that requires a takeaway…..and I enjoyed the monkfish and scallops. Both dishes had a myriad of wonderful tastes.
This restaurant is a short drive and worth the visit.

We enjoyed a wonderful early dinner. Paige was our server and she was impeccable. I enjoyed an old fashion cocktail made with Evan Williams Bond. Bourbon list is tremendous. Spouse had dog fish special and I had the black drum each served with perfectly roasted root veggies. We shared fingerling potatoes prepared in duck fat. We had sparkling wine to accompany. Every bite was well-balanced and delicious.

If you are anywhere near Pittsboro you MUST try Postal Fish Co. The restaurant itself is quaint and nicely appointed. Their food however… is absolutely FANTASTIC! This is truly a “diamond in the rough”. You would not expect this level of cuisine located here. We heard the menu changes daily so you’ll just have to come often to keep up with the number of amazing dishes this chef/owner puts out.
