I went there for lunch and had a combo beef and Italian sausage sandwich dipped extra gravy and it was excellent. I went to the mall and got a fruit drink . Before leaving the area I went back for 3 more Italian beef sandwiches and a Chicago hotdog. Sad to say there was zero gravy containers. With a trio 60 miles back that was not an option. Give me a break. We used a AuJus seasoning pack plus a spicy Italian dressing pac to make our own. I will not trust them again. Fortunately they are suppose to open one in Daytona Beach.

We love Portillo’s and this location didn’t disappoint. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was super clean. The big beef sandwich with hot and sweet peppers is delicious and the chili dogs super good. We do love the fries but wish they were a bit less salty.

Beautiful restaurant, love the retro look and all the Florida memorabilia. I had a bacon double cheeseburger, onion rings and fries with cheese sauce. Everything was fresh and delicious. The burger was huge and the onion rings were crunchy. We also bought a slice of the chocolate cake to go and oh my it was so yummy. They have a great selection of burgers, hotdogs, desserts and milkshakes. They also have the full size version of the desserts available to purchase and enjoy at home.

This is always been our go-to for hot dogs, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. However today it was rather messy greasy and they didn’t get our order correct. We ordered two number 3 combos- Order # 281 the grilled cheeseburger, one without onions, one without tomato and one with no salt fries. They gave us two number threes both with everything. Thry got the no salt fries correct and rhey were deluxious, as usual, but thise burgers were dripping wet with grease and soaked the bun completely. We love going to this place so please next time get it right guys!

I got my usual Italian Beef with hot and sweet peppers double dipped, large fries and a treat, a slice of chocolate cake with my birthday rewards. I also go a hamburger and large fries for my son. The food was hot and delicious. I ordered online, very easily and picked up via the drive-thru.

We stopped by Portillo’s in Waterford Lakes for a late lunch/early dinner after a day of shopping. The location is great, convenient with plenty of parking around 3pm. This was my first time visiting (my husband had been before), and I really enjoyed the “Vintage Americana” décor. The restrooms were also clean and well-maintained, which I always appreciate.
Ordering is done via kiosk, which was easy enough to navigate, though it got a bit tricky when trying to customize the meal beyond the standard options. I entered my phone number for order pickup notification, but never received the text, possibly because I declined to be added to their mailing list at the end of the process.
Our food arrived quickly, and everything looked great, burgers were nicely packaged and hearty in size. That said, the flavor was a letdown. Everything we ordered; the burgers, fries, and onion rings—lacked seasoning. It all tasted under-salted and underwhelming, which was disappointing given the otherwise solid presentation. The highlight for my husband was the chocolate cake shake, which he really enjoyed.
I’m not sure I’d return for the burgers, but I might give the sausages a try next time. Overall, a nice atmosphere and good service, but the flavor just didn’t hit the mark for me.

My friend and I braved the Waterford Lakes crowds to eat lunch at Portillo’s on a Saturday. The food was fantastic and ready quickly (I think my order was ready in less than 10 minutes). The fries in particular are delicious. This was my second time at this location but first time dining in. Really well decorated inside with old school artwork and Florida posters. Would definitely recommend.

Right when you walk in, the retro diner vibe immediately sets the tone — fun, nostalgic, and full of character. The layout is really well thought out: you can order at a kiosk for a quick and easy experience or choose the traditional counter line if you prefer that personal touch. The pickup windows are clearly marked and efficient, and there’s plenty of indoor seating. If you’re really in a hurry you can order and pickup through an outside pickup area or utilize the drive thru. These guys literally thought of everything!
We ordered the classic Italian beef sandwich and the Italian beef with sausage combo — both were incredibly flavorful and hit the spot.
