Old style Chicago fast food restaurant. It feels like you have entered a restaurant from the 1950’s. I like the vintage look with modern amenities. Booths are a little small for 4 people if you are a big person. Service can be slow when busy, but when we went at 9 pm and there wer6e hardly anyone there, it still took 10 to 15 minutes to get our orders. Food tastes good.
They don’t have too many healthy options other than a couple of salads. I hope they have some smoothies. They only had high sugar and high calorie milk shakes.

The food was SO GOOD!!!!!! And it was such a neat place to see. I should’ve gotten a larger sandwich as opposed to regular. Will be back again when we return to this state.

We were there for lunch and our food was extremely salty. We couldn’t even eat our fries we had to throw 3 large fries. Our Italian beef had hardly any meat. Seriously Portillos do better. We used to buy at least 3 times a month, but the last 2 times we were there our food has been extremely salty. I don’t like to write negative reviews but people deserve to get better quality.

Most of the food here is okay.
We bought the large sized Beef Combo with an Italian sausage in the beef.
The sandwich was longer hence the large size, but the sausage was still the smaller regular size.
I don’t feel like I got my money’s worth for these two sandwiches.
I wont be getting the larger size here again.

Had a nice dinner with family. The place has easy access and has both a rotating door and a handicap entrance. The decor inside gives you the feel of a diner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Italian Beef with Sweet Peppers was very good as usual. The Hot Dogs had that great snap that you only get with a true Chicago Dog and were “run through the garden”. The Chocolate Cake Shack had lots of cake pieces in it. Overall, a place that you can’t go wrong at. Only issue was that the floors are tiled and were very slick due to water being tracked in due to rain.

I walked into Portillo’s because my husband had been craving their famous Italian beef. I had already decided I would just have fries since I wasn’t aware of any plant-based options on their menu. But to my surprise and delight, they offered a plant-based hot dog—and I just had to try it!
Let me tell you, from the very first bite, I was blown away. It was so flavorful and juicy that I had to have my husband try it too because I could hardly believe it was plant-based! The classic Chicago-style toppings made it even better, delivering the perfect hot dog experience while staying true to my plant-based diet.

What a wonderful find! I experienced a twinge of nostalgia as I passed through the revolving door, seeing this restaurant all decked out in memorabilia. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the employees were cheerful and fun to interact with! One of them shared a little about the history of the place with us while we were waiting for our food, which came swiftly by the way. This is definitely a place to revisit if I’m ever back this way again.

The place is amazing. We really enjoyed the food. We ordered chicken salad, but there was a pork inside and we confirmed with the cashier and he was so nice. He replaced it for us for free. Food was amazing specially the hotdog and beef sandwich.
