My family was visiting from out of state and I had raved about the tree adventure (it’s awesome). We stopped by Porters after the adventure on Friday and was extremely disappointed. There wasn’t anyone in porters for a while. Me and another family came in at the same time, they ordered first. I spent $30 on a plate of burnt ends + Mac and cheese, cornbread, a slice of pie and a slush is, plus I tipped $5 on a takeout order. I opened my plate up 15 minutes later on our long drive home— they gave me brisket (this costs LESS than burnt ends), the Texas toast wasn’t toasted, literally just pulled out of the bag and put in my box, 4 pieces of beans, the cornbread was extremely hard on the edges from being left out, the mac and cheese had zero flavor. After a few small bites, we tossed it. The pie was standard but the slushie was literally the saving grace. I tipped before hand *to insure prompt service* which is why I’m leaving this review, because they failed me. Go to the tree adventure and their gift shop but avoid this restaurant. Not sure if it was an off day for them but based on their employees and how I saw them manage 4 customers and the food I could tell they just didn’t care.

I love the farm, the ambiance, and I want to love this restaurant. The ribs were good and the cornbread amazing…but it only came with butter not the bacon jam it mentions on the menu. My pulled pork sandwich was so dry (bun and meat). The mac and cheese had zero taste and was cold

My mom and I stopped at Porter’s after tasting the wine and walking amongst the tree houses. This was a perfect lunch spot before we hit the road again. We ordered the potato soup and salad to split then shared the nachos to try. All was great and would definitely eat here again if it were closer!!

Went here for the apple Jack festival at dinner time. They were out of pork, brisket, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. Th ey shouted out that they were out of the meat, but not the other sides. We stood in line for 30 minutes to find out they didn’t have what we wanted. First, they should have been prepared. Second, disclose on a sign what you’re out of. We ended up having pulled chicken which was mediocre. Will not be back.

Great BBQ joint. Sauces are wonderful and it is close to the Arbor Day tree top adventure. It would be nice if they added some more ice cream options.

Staff was pleasant, the service was fast, the restaurant was clean and pleasant. Pulled pork was a little chewy but the pickles and coleslaw gave it good flavor. Be sure to check out the gift shop

The location is beautiful. It had a very rustic feel. However… They did not carry most of the things listed on the menu (they didn’t even have Mac n’ cheese). The portions were very small for the price. Both their house barbecue sauces tasted like brown tomato paste. The brisket was juicy, but very little flavor. The pulled pork was tasty, but dry. And their coleslaw was very bland.

Very little taste mac and cheese was more butter noodles. Also used to adding our own sauce at a bbq restaurant. Was disappointed as it all looked good. But staff was very nice

I’ve eaten at Porter’s about 10 times now. There is a great mix of smoked meat to choose from. The brisket is always on point. The pulled pork is SOLID, and the burnt ends are amazing. I have come here with my kids, eaten solo, and also eaten with a group of friends. The outdoor atmosphere during the fall is worth the drive from Lincoln or Omaha just to be in beautiful scenery and eating great food. Parent tip: take your children to the tree adventure in the morning. Go to Porter’s for lunch, and watch them get a double portion of their daily protein. They’ll love it.
