Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. I loved the simple and beautiful wall mural and carved wood chairs. Our server didn’t speak any English; which made it difficult to order… however, we managed and our food came out perfect. Prices were very fair. Definitely worth giving this place a try if you haven’t yet.

Very good food. Had the Tacos Authenticos with chicken and steak which came with rice and pinto beans. Even had some suateed onions and different salsas on the side. The quesadilla uses authentic cheese not the American cheese that some other places use for some reason. Chips and salsa were legit, and so was the queso.
The place is pretty large and should be a good spot once they get their liquor license.

Your taste buds are in for a culinary adventure ! The best Mexican restaurant in Winchester !!! Definitely try the churros and burrito mexicana !!! Very friendly folks , exquisite service , & the salsa is delicious ! Their portions & prices are great you might need a to go box ! The atmosphere is lovely and they have clean bathrooms !!! Definitely coming back !!

10/20/2024: Today I tried thr the Chicken Bandido. It was a wonderful meal. 10/13/2024: Chicken Encremado. Excellent. 7/5/2024: The food here is great. The shrimp salad was so good. 5/8/2024: lunch Taco Salad, ground beef . The salsa is freshly prepared & loaded with chunky pieces of tomatoes & onions. It is wonderful !

Best Mexican restaurant in town can’t be the flavors of the delicious food and reasonable prices !!! Family friendly and fast service !!! This restaurant has a peaceful ambience that made us feel welcomed and relaxed. Must try the shrek burrito and seafood chimichanga !! Kiddo got a cheese quesadilla.Their kids chicken nuggets are a delight too shaped like dinosaurs for the kids !

Portales Mexican Grill is the best in the area I’ve been there a few times their service is amazing and their food is delicious you should definitely try it out. I got the shrimp cocktail and it was delicious, Their Atmosphere is great.

The quality of service has gone down hill significantly as has the quality of food. Our food came out cold, the waiter couldn’t have cared less. He dumped our plates on the table and then sat down to play on his phone.
The inside of the place looks fantastic! The food and service were both good. The food had good flavor but the temperature of everything was a little lower than I would have preferred. The service was friendly and attentive but it was a litte on the slow side. Was good dining experience and we will be back.

First time here and service was good. Food excellent and the menu has a lot to choose from. I Had the white fish with Spanish rice and salad my husband had the grilled chicken. We will be back.

This is the third time we have ate here. My food was just so so it has no flavor, especially being Mexican food you expect it to be flavorful. My better half enjoyed her shrimp meal.
The service is the absolute worst! I understand we live in Winchester but come on. You go out to eat to find a good meal and have someone else cook and clean.
They need at least two more employees.
When you have to keep asking for refills of your drinks and more chips and salsa it isn’t right. Your waiter should take care of your table before taking someone else’s order!!! Our daughter wanted to order dessert and all 3 waiters were at the cash register not paying attention to their customers. I had to rattle my glass to get their attention. It took 18 freaking minutes to get the fried ice cream!!!
The guy who I assume is the manager was making people wait just to pay their bill. Again more employees is a good thing. And just being honest. That guy had an awful body odor. I’m never going back.

I was really excited about a Mexican restaurant opening in the area and was looking forward to eating here. Now that I have actually had their food I hate to say but it wasn’t great. The prices were very fair so I can’t complain on that but you get what you pay for and honestly they need major improvements. My queso was ice cold. My daughters quesadilla was absolutely disgusting to say the least. The service was extremely disorganized and overall disappointing. Every waiter/worker in there were sitting around on their phones when I picked up my order. Even upon picking up my order the guy had no idea what order it was because no one asked for a name or number when it was placed so I had to say the whole order back to him.
