Yes, indeed! This is my favorite neighborhood breakfast restaurant! The place has older decor, but the food is a hit! This place has a crowd daily and out the door lines on weekends! I have taken several friends here, and it’s a hit with all of them! I love that the place has plenty of parking, is clean, wait staff is fast and friendly. Yhr restrooms are clean. The food is always fresh and served in large quantities! One dish is basically enough for two! We always have take-home containers, no matter how hungry we are! This place is kid friendly. The owner, Maria, is humble. She seats people, serves coffee refills, and chats with patrons! They also have lunch and dinner options. They stay late on Fridays and Saturdays, offering all you can eat fish and riblets for low prices! I love this place! Try it if you haven’t, you’ll love it too!!!!!

Great food and atmosphere. Was very busy when I went, but had no issues ordering or getting a table. My server was attentive and professional, the food was excellent. The prices are also reasonable. I had to take a call outside after ordering my food and didnt have any issues. I quickly told the server and they had my food on the table when I came back in 5 minutes later.
I will say I left a tip on the credit card payment, but I was only charged for the meal. Im not sure how most restaurants handle tipping when it isnt cash at the table, but I dont think she got it :/

I started going here recently and I can’t believe I have not come sooner. The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are huge. The service is always fast and the food always hits the spot. A new favorite for sure!

When they say House of Pancakes, they’re not kidding. They got 20 something ways to make pancakes. Looking over menu, my eyes grew wide when I realized I could order a bowl of gits to go with Carmel apple waffle and bacon. The meal did not disappoint. Very family friendly. Clean pot of coffee based on the fresh taste in my cup. Will definitely bring my college student daughter who lives potato pancakes. And the wife enjoyed her crapes. Also want to thank the waitress for helping save a few dollars.

Usually love their breakfast.
This time totally was upset.
Right after we placed the orders. I attend the restroom. I walk passed a table who was complaining the fried potatoes was hard as a rock and they ordered well done eggs those was over easy. The man told the lady to take the plates back.
I heard all this while walking passed. I proceed to set down. And then here comes 2 breakfast plates. I took the fork and could pick up the whole hashbrown it was hard. Then I noticed there was jelly already on the egg’s. I didn’t order Jelly.
I got back up walked to the table that was complaining by bathroom. Ask sir did you put jelly on your eggs. His wife said I did why. I said cause they just gave us your plates.
I wave the waitress over question her about it. She said sorry it’s possible the plates got messed up we have a new cook who training a cook.
I told her just bring me my check.
Same owner , price double.but my God things are changing around his head right in front of him.
Will never return.

The place is crowded and loud. Its not a place to sit down for a family breakfast if you want to talk or be able to sit comfortably. The owner is the rudest lady I’ve ever met. You can hear her yelling at customers and workers all the time. The food isnt horrible but the atmosphere and service are abysmal. I also have tried getting take out instead to just enjoy the food but every single time my order is wrong. I will be missing sides and even main courses on occasion. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a pleasant experience.

The building is clean, cozy and not overly noisy, the food is always fresh, delicious and incredibly prompt, the wait staff are all very attentive and perhaps some of the friendliest people you’ll meet in Portage.
In this economy it’s hard to beat the value too; the skillets are easily large enough for two meals. Thanks again Julie!

I enjoy eating here. It’s cozy and has the best soup and food. I don’t have to wait to be seated most times and enjoy the meal hot with a great price point.

We stopped in here for lunch after visiting the apple orchard. It is a short drive from the apple orchard. The prices are low considering that everything shot up after COVID. The food is good quality, the staff member that I served us was Julie. She was very chipper and happy. It was a pleasant experience to have her as a server. She made the entire dining experience delightful. The only thing that I would have changed about this restaurant, is the interior. I do believe that the interior needs some type of upgrading, especially the dark dingy carpet. It definitely looks like it is stained with food and riddled with dirt. I think hardwood or even tile would be a better fit than the dark and dingy carpet that throws off the bright chipper atmosphere of the building. I ended up getting a bacon and turkey club sandwich with cream of mushroom soup. The cream of mushroom soup was very delicious.
