Not sure I am 100% sold on this ultra-trendy place packed with Millennials.
There definitely was a vibe between the DJ spinning, hustling servers, packed bar, crowded waiting area, open kitchen, crammed tables, etc.
However, we could barely hear ourselves and have a proper conversation over the extremely loud music.
My favorite part of the food was the presentation. It was so well thought out. We found the food to be either too salty, too buttery, too bland or over kill with tahini. We were a table of three and ordered based off the servers suggestions.
Hummus Gargarim (standard), Leeks (bland), Lima Beans (mush), Pencil Asparagus (butter bath), Minute Plate (spicy), Chrime Branzino (actually liked this dish but neither of my friends cared for it). We were hoping to try the eggplant but they were out of it. The dishes are served as they are finished not together as a meal.
Service was good except we had to keep asking for serving utensils.
Surprised to receive the bill with a 20% gratuity already added since we were only 3 people. However they consider that a large party.
Reservations are a must and time slot is not guaranteed. We waited an extra 20 minutes or so past our time. There were other tables who had to wait longer.
I would give the place a second try for their Jazz brunch as long as the music is at a reasonable level. They have a side listening bar which is small, intimate and seriously a great vibe with stellar cocktails. That I would give 5 stars.

Amazing decor with a custom-made sound system and live DJ that sets a great vibe. The Middle Eastern sharing plates were very tasty: the beetroot carpaccio, bread salad, fresh tahini, and hummus were absolute highlights. However, the roasted sweet potato was a bit of a low light, and the meal overall lacked the final finesse for a full five stars. Still a great spot for a special night out with very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I’m sure if you have been to hamido’s in Astoria this is pretty much the same thing, the fish looks really fresh and was cooked really well, try the snapper. The service here is good and the prices are fair. I would for sure come back here again and try more things on the menu.

Cool dining experience. Thought there were some great dishes and some that were just exactly what you expect. I really liked the 4 spicy instruments, the bread salad, and the spicy moroccan chickpeas and chicken thighs. Got a few other dishes but they didn’t really stand out. Overall, great service and such a vibe place – it’s buzzing and it feels like a great place for friends and drinks. But at the same time the seatings a little crowded and for the price – the portions felt quite small.

The experience was absolutely fantastic! The food came out at a perfect pace, paired beautifully with some amazing cocktails. The quality of the ingredients really stood out – everything was balanced, flavorful, and cooked just right. The Denver steak was just a touch on the salty side, but still right at the upper edge of perfect. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish!

Port Sa’id is one of the most fun and lively dinner spots I’ve tried in Manhattan — it blends delicious Eastern Mediterranean/Israeli-inspired food with a buzzing, almost party-like atmosphere. The space is spacious with high ceilings and a great vinyl music program — sometimes it feels more like a dinner with a soundtrack than a normal restaurant.
The menu is full of shareable plates meant for tasting and talking over: creamy hummus and challah, roasted eggplant, lamb kebabs, bread salad, and standout seasonal vegetable dishes — everything felt fresh, bold, and great for sharing with friends.
What I really liked was the vibe — part restaurant, part lounge — with good cocktails and music that makes it feel like a destination, not just a dinner. It can get lively (especially on weekend nights), so it’s awesome if you want food and an energetic evening out.
Vibe: lively and musical
Food: flavorful, share-style Mediterranean/Israeli plates
Best for: group dinners, date nights with energy, fun evenings out

Went here with a friend on a Thursday night. The food was excellent and the vibes were immaculate. There’s Vinyl DJ spinning records at the perfect volume to enjoy your meal while also feeling like you’re in Tel Aviv. I highly recommend the branzino which gets lit on fire. Staff and management is incredibly accommodating should you need anything. One of my favorite hidden gems in New York!

Wonderful service and great atmosphere.
Some of the dishes we tried were phenomenal, while other dishes weren’t too special.
Overall we had a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Perfect spot for a fun girls night dinner! The atmosphere is lively but still intimate enough for conversation. Everything we ordered for the table was delicious but the mushroom pasta, hummus, and tatami dessert stood out as incredible. Our server, Jerry, went WAY above and beyond! He was attentive and gave great recommendations for food and drink. I will definitely return and ask for him by name.

Omg!!! I was sooo surprised by this place! Not only the food was AMAZING, but the whole vibe of the place was great (and I went there on a Monday)! I just can’t get over their vegetables, specially their amazing salad with tahini and their cauliflower! Not to mention the lamb kebab! Honestly, everything was great, I don’t think you can go wrong. Btw, the bar/speakeasy they have next door is amazing. Overall, this place made me happy! Would come back so many times!
