I love Port of Subs sandwiches. I eat at them fairly often. I have never had bread that was dry, until todays sandwich. It was not the same quality that I typically get at other locations. These stores are individually owned/operated from one another and their quality control seems to be individual as well. I will drive farther away to visit a different location the next time I want a sandwich.

This is for corporate/owners of this location… if someone wants a single sandwich and would like their veggies on the side so it doesn’t get soggy…. charging them 2 dollars extra for the container you pay 5 cents for in bulk is really not a good business practice. Flexibility and working with your customers will bring business. Not this BS.

This is what I just paid 60.00 for. The Pilgrim is very poorly made. Just the min ingredients they had to to be able to call it a sandwich. Very dry & nasty. The owner (I assume owner)was rude. I was talking to my daughter about their family pack being 10.00 more than on Baring he told me I am wrong. I was just there 2 days ago. I’m not wrong. Will positively not go back here again when though they are closer to my home I will drive out if my way to go to any other one. They were upset when I asked for olives & pickles on side not on sandwich. Poorly ran & rude

Ordered on line. Didn’t follow choices made. Very dry bread, probably old. We’ve had better at other places.

My visit to Port Of Sub’s on McCaren blvd in Sparks NV was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. For a place that prides itself on speed and convenience, it failed on both fronts.

First, the wait time was absurd. Despite being a fast food joint, it took over 10 minutes to get our order, and the place wasn’t even busy. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested, with no sense of urgency.

When we finally received our food, it was clear that it had been sitting around for days, the vegetables all look brown and soggy the meat had a slimy texture. My Husband ordered a cold tuna fish sandwich and I had a number 8 turkey and provolone. My husband took one bite and noticed that the tuna was sour be that we eat at the one on Prater Way all the time and we have tuna all the time we know the taste that is supposed to hold. my Husband went and told one of the workers that his sandwich was sour. The worker took his sandwich with his bare hands after he had been taking cash from other customers and using the cash register and then told him he had to call the manager just to either make another sandwich or to give a refund. The worker returned and said the manager refused to give us another sandwich at the same price or a refund and said that the tuna was made yesterday, so there was no way it could be sour. I asked the employee if I could have the managers number he told me no I asked for his name he told me he didn’t want to be any part of it. I asked him if he could make another sandwich at the same price he said no he could make another tuna sandwich, I asked him why would he offer to make another tuna sandwich and the tuna is sour? Then he said he was just gonna call the police so I told him go ahead and I waited. I also called a different port of sub the one on Prater way in Sparks NV to get the district manager‘s number. The guy over there was on the phone with me the whole time he even offered for me to come over there and he remake my sandwich for me. I waited for the cop to come and got an incident number. I got my receipt. I paid over $35 for some sandwiches and I was not offered a resolution to solve my problem I will not be eating here again and sadly to say not even at any other Porta sub. I won’t even recommend this place to anyone. I was discriminated against And my children wade with me.
Cleanliness was another major issue. The tables were dirty, the floors were sticky, and the garbage bins were overflowing. It didn’t look like anyone had bothered to clean the dining area in hours. The restrooms were equally filthy, which made me question the overall hygiene standards of the establishment.

Overall, Port Of Sub on McCaren blvd in Sparks NV was a complete letdown. The slow service, poor food quality, and lack of cleanliness made for a thoroughly unpleasant dining experience. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Hot and humid, more than outside.
Watch your receipts. If you ask for a combo, they will ring it up separately, which is an additional $0.40 a person. Easy way to add to their bottom dollar.
Asked for a #2 (ham, turkey, and provolone) but with all turkey. The short one in braids said no, that would be a #8. I asked if I could do the two servings of turkey as a #2. See attached picture, this is supposedly 2 servings of turkey. If I wasn’t next door at Sally’s I wouldn’t have come here.

Don’t get me started on the taller brunette with the 2.5″ long nails. Cheap disposable gloves or not, they shouldn’t be allowed around food.

I rarely eat inside but this time I had to wait until after the CVS pharmacy lunch break. They were out of smoky cheddar, unfortunately the factory burned down so I had regular cheddar.

I took out my in ear hearing aids and one fell, skittering across the floor, with help from the staff, it was found behind the soda/drinks fridge.

Whenever I post on Facebook that I’m going here, people who’ve moved away say they really miss the sandwiches, that’s the biggest compliment I can think of for a sandwich shop, that people still crave them even though they’ve moved to another state.

So, I am from Nevada, but I haven’t been here since 2010. I remember loooving Port of Subs ever since I was a kid. So when I was back in Reno for work (I travel for my job) I just had to try it again. Just the location and the food set me off on a nostalgia trip. So thank you to the two young men behind the counter helping me through my excitement. Lol. They were really nice, and my food was amazing! Thank you two again, I’m still super exited I got to go to your shop. 🙂 Keep up the good work!

If I wanted a loaf of bread I would have went to the grocery store. Sandwich had hardly any meat, cheese , or condiments and I asked for extra vinager and oregano and there’s barely any of that either. I see how port of subs is dealing with inflation, there screwing the customer. I have been here in a long time and I’m starting to remember why

We had an ok experience, food was a bit overpriced for what you get. Very little meat, and cheese. My husband needed to use the restroom and was told he couldn’t, mind you, we are paying customers and we didn’t just stroll in there to use the restroom. While ordering our food, another employee said he could use it, it was being cleaned. He chose to go somewhere else. Definitely did like the atmosphere, or vibe in the shop. I over heard one guy, possibly owner was speaking rudely to another young employee. Definitely won’t be back at this location. Port of Subs use to be really good back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. The sandwiches had plied on meat, never needed to ask for extra, that’s back when the sandwiches were worth the price, and bathrooms were available to paying customers. Port of Subs is just another Subway unfortunately
