This is the quintessential Southern BBQ place! I had seen some not great reviews recently, but our experience was very positive.
The atmosphere was friendly and staff interacted with locals as you might see on an episode of Andy Griffith! Nicely nostalgic…In so many places these days, the staff seems annoyed to even be there. This felt different. We went on a Saturday for lunch.
We did the family meal of sliced bbq and definitely had enough for 4 total plates, maybe even more. The ‘pups’ were a great texture, the sauces were on the table and not drowning the meat. The white slaw was crunchy and not too sweet and the beans actually had bacon in them!
The homemade ranch dressing is a must. The portions are generous, and our server was very attentive and nice.
We’ll definitely be back

The bbq is always good, but their chicken salad is the BEST!! I am always getting a pint to last me through the week. Service is always good! When here, always ask for a cherry lemon sundrop! Especially if you’re coming from out of town. Their buffalo chicken wrap is very good too. Homemade ranch compliments anything you dip into it! With all the fast food options seeming to take over, its refreshing to have a spot like this where it is always consistent and delicious.

I ordered a BBQ sandwich. Big portion , big bun, slaw was good, whole thing tasted good. Fries werent all that great but oh well. Tea was ok. Just not worth the price I paid.

My girlfriend and I ordered country style steak with pintos and a side salad, the salad was just cheap brown shredded lettuce and one chopped up slightly bad tomato. the pintos were not seasoned, and tasted like they came straight out of a can. The country style steak looked like a can of wet cat food. Not to mention everything we ordered was ice-cold. We were quoted 15-20 mins for the food to be ready and arrived exactly 20 mins later. So disappointed in the food. Our entire meal was $30 (We also ordered two footlong hotdogs and also cold and soggy from sitting so long.)

Great spot for BBQ and other yummy sounding plates. First time here while I was visiting Eden for work. Staff were friendly. They got busy at lunch. Homemade ranch dressing (always good to know those places!). BBQ was good, hush puppies delicious and sweet, and good white slaw. Fries were ok just needed salt. Awesome sweet tea. I would love to try their other plates.

I was with my mother and children we sat in the sunroom/party room the waitresses were friendly and they were on top of their job 100% the atmosphere was cozy quaint southern dining. The only complaint I have is that the livermush omelet that I ordered they basically cooked the egg slapped a 1/2in slab of livermush on the inside sprinkled a tablespoon of cheese in it wrapped it in the egg and put it on the plate. Needless to say I was hungry so I ate it but I was not at all pleased with the omlette it was more like an egg and livermush burrito with the burrito as the wrap with a dash of cheese.

Stopped on our way home to Virginia from Louisiana. My wife got the tomato soup and says it’s the best she’s ever had!. I got the bbq plate. The bbq baked beans were the best I’ve ever had! The manager(Tammy) came and talked with my wife and I about the soup and the beans. Super friendly environment! All the staff were so friendly. Service was fast and all the food was great!
