Excellent pork sandwich, soft toasted bun, comfortable, memorabilia-filled interior. Drive thru. Covered porch and covered picnic tables outside. Be prepared for the traffic circle!

Smokey Bbq, hot stew, handout fries all hot and delish. Down home southern atmosphere and friendly service.

This is not the best BBQ in the world but it is really good. That being said, if you’re in Whitesburg consider yourself blessed to have Pop’s as an option since anything better is a good drive away. Great sides. The fries are outstanding and freshly cut to order. Always had great service there too.

I didn’t quite know what to expect since the place only had a few people in it and some of the local townsfolk said they had not tried it yet. The fries look dark but they are really good. I tried the pork sandwich, which does not include traditional bbq sauce – more of a North Carolina and Sweet Virginia sauce mix, but I will sure stop there again.

Wouldn’t eat here again.
I’ve been wanting to try this for awhile, I finally did.
I was given a plate of, what can only be described as burnt offerings, which they call fries.
I honestly wanted to take them back but my husband, not wanting to cause a scene after a long day, said to leave it and started eating them.
The pulled pork sandwich was mediocre.
I’ve had better store bought products which is pathetic.
Staff unfriendly and unwelcoming.

Woooooooo doggie! That was some mighty fine Q! Pulled pork sammich made right! Toasted Texas toast, just the right amount of a semi-sweet vinegar based sauce that was just the right amount of tart. The pork was gently charred and well smoked. You could really taste the hardwood in the meat. Simply delicious. But wait… theres more! They served me up some hand cut homemade fries that were seasoned with magic and unicorn dreams.
The meat didn’t need the sauce. It stood on its own. And I don’t even care for typical vinegar sauces, but this one was special. Hands down a better BBQ than anything in nearby Newnan, and worth the scenic drive to Whitesburg to find the place. The dining room is typical hole-in-the-wall with some clear effort put into it, but also easy to feel cozy in. There’s only 6 tables inside, or 2 on the patio plus they have a drive through! Limited parking so come early and eat hearty!

It’s good food IF YOU CAN catch them open. There times are just posted I don’t think they go by them and will open whenever, and will definitely close up whenever. And 3 outa 4 times a call in order was made, they were very rude about hurrying to pick up our order bc they were closing…3 hours before closing time. 2 outa 4 meals were cold but reheating was no big deal,Altho it would be if you were on the road. Take care to be aware.

This place is so awesome. It’s a classic, down home road stop, but the BBQ is deceptively amazing. Stop here!
