Literally a small mom and pop shop serving up phenomenal pizzas. HUGE slices with super thin crusts. Had the BBQ chicken and Hawaiian and really liked the BBQ chicken. Sauce was generous. Flavour profile had multiple layers. It had the right amount of savoury sweetness. Will come again. If you order to eat there, they will plate it for you and you can enjoy it on their few high top tables. but if you takeout they will warm it up for 2 mins so by the time you get home it’s still warm.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

If you’re in need of a quick, satisfying bite while on the move, Pop’s Pizza is a solid choice. The service is fast, making it the perfect stop if you’re in a rush but still want a quality meal.
I tried the Margherita and the Meat Lovers, and both slices were impressively large and served piping hot. The crust had a great fold to it, and the toppings were fresh. It’s definitely a reliable spot for a classic New York-style slice.
I’ll definitely be back to try some of their other flavors next time!

Ordered from this pizza shop recently and had a satisfying experience. The pizza was delivered hot and well packed, with a nicely baked crust and rich, flavorful sauce. Cheese was generous without being overpowering, and the toppings were fresh and evenly cooked. The staff was polite and responsive, making the ordering process smooth. Prices are reasonable compared to similar places, and overall quality was consistent. With better order tracking and slightly quicker delivery, this place could be excellent.

The pizza here is so yummy! It’s a very clean, authentic East Village pizza place with friendly fast service. I loved the Margarita pizza and my boyfriend liked the Spicy Pepperoni slice. The pizza tastes great hot or cold. I would definitely go here again

Needing to round out our NYC experience before going home we got a few slices to enjoy at Central Park. We got two meat lovers, one feta w/spinach, pepperoni with jalapeno and two sodas. They toasted the pizzas in the oven and placed in a box. The slices were a pretty decent size which was a nice surprise. I enjoyed the feta with spinach 100%. The meat lovers was a lot of meat. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy which I like. Next time I will do one slice as they are pretty big. Highly recommend this spot. Customer service was friendly and quick.

If you want a quick bite to eat on the sidewalk or in Central Park, Pop’s Pizza is a conviniant at 57th and 8th Ave.
Because of the small size of this pizza shop, it will only hold three, maybe four people inside where you line up to place your order.
After ordering you can move outside and what the small widow where they will raffle of the orders.
I guess it will always look like a small crowd outside but it moves quickly.
There are a decent selection of pre-baked pies with various toppings. The slices are quite large.
There are a couple of small stand up tables if you need a tiny space to eat your slice.
You may see, as I did (and we did!), people standing on corners, and benches or anywhere really with Pops pizza boxes chowing down a slice or two.
The plan slice is quit large. It’s very floppy when hot, cheese and sauce almost combine to make a thick tasty, creamy flavor that is just a touch sweet. It’s really tasty pizza which may be made more tasty since if you find yourself at Pops you are probably quite hangry.

Cool NY style pizza spot. they speak Spanish. The slice is between 3 and 5 USD depending on the toppings, I had the cheese one and the marbling was perfect

Goals are to do a pizza trip of New York. Let’s compare all the pizza windows and figure out which one is best. This could take a while. Now keep in a mind there are a lot of posers out there in pizza window world. Hot take but If they have to advertise their pizza deal (2 slices + soda = $6), they are probably not the best pizza in New York. Our first find on the first day was Pops Pizza. It’s off 7th/57th street next to a dry cleaner. There is construction going on at the moment but don’t let that deter you. Pops takes cash or card. They have a variety of pizza options. We got the jalapeño & pepperoni along with the margherita pizza. They warm it up and put in a box for us. Seasonings are all outside with garlic, crushed red pepper and Parmesan. You can easily walk to Central Park from here and enjoy your slice. Walking to Central Park gave us the perfect amount of time to let the pizza cool off a bit. We found q seat in the lawn and had our slices. It had a floppier crust, but the sauce and the toppings were well worth it. Even the crust was great to finish. Does this taste better in Central Park? probably. Does this pizza rank as one of the best, in my opinion yes. The variety, ability to take credit cards and proximity to Central Park let it take the cake.

Pops Pizza is a true gem! The service is fast and friendly, and you can tell they really care about their customers. The pizza is outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. I tried the mushroom spinach slice, and it was absolutely amazing. Perfectly balanced, cheesy, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best slices I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious pizza done right!
