We were created with one mission: to give parents and little ones a relaxed, judgment-free environment where everyone can enjoy a delicious meal without the usual stress of dining out. Because first and foremost, we’re “parent-friendly.” Our service team understands just how quickly moods can shift, valet parking is ready to whisk you from car seat to high chair, and tabletop breakables were swapped out for coloring projects for little hands. We’re nestled within Epping’s on Eastside, offering adults the full Epping’s menu and beverage selection. So sit back, order a cocktail, and start making memories. We’ll handle the rest.

At first the place was hard to find because the building looked different from the pictures. And the name on the front was different. Inside it’s very trendy looking and echoes, so kind of hard to hear each other.
The food was delicious. The breakfast portions are a tad small but the brunch lunch sizes were perfect. I had eggs Benedict, my parents had biscuits & gravy and shrimp & gits, my hubby had the best dish – chicken & waffles.

I have eaten here before and the food is good and interesting. Since it was late and I didnt want a full meal, I ordered two small plates. Chicken satay, four skewers served with cucmbers and peanut sauce for dipping, was good but a bit bland for my tastes. I was excited to see brocollini bagna cauda on the menu, however I was disappointed when it arrived to find only brocollini with a balsamic drizzle and seasoned panto or bread crumbs, not the traditional anchovy garlic dip I was expecting. The broccoli nice was tasty, it just wasn’t bagna causal. Because I had been drinking earlier and still had a long drive home I asked if the bartender could make a nonalcoholic cocktail that wasnt sweet. He made me a mule sans alcohol that was very good. Though my visit wasn’t perfect, its still a great place to go for a nice upscale dinner.

Some friends and I went to Poppy & Olive for my birthday brunch and we had a nice time! This was all of our first time at the restaurant and we would go back again. We booked a reservation online, and we had actually booked it for Epping’s on Eastside and later realized they were the same business and owners. It worked out perfectly since we originally wanted to book with Poppy & Olive but they had no available reservations online.
The place is super cute, nice contemporary yet nostalgic vibe and the food was delicious. I ate everything! And I’m usually the one to not finish my food. The bottomless mimosas were great and we left feeling good! Melissa was our server and she was very sweet and accommodating. We’ve got some other spots to try now but we’ll be back!

The coffee here is some of the best in town. Great space, very open and light, and the pastries are delicious and well made. Haven’t tried the proper food yet but looking forward to it now!

I had the pleasure of visiting poppy and olive this morning for the first time.
I was so impressed by the gorgeous atmosphere, and this restaurant is such a unique addition to Lexington’s Warehouse district.
I was meeting a friend for coffee and ended up bringing my two year old with me at the last minute. I always feel apprehensive about bringing kids to a venue I haven’t visited before, but I was pleasantly surprised that there were the perfect offerings for both me and my son.
I enjoyed the best cup of coffee, and my son picked out a Nutella pastry with milk. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful, and my experience was perfect.
When my son finished his breakfast, and I still had some visiting to do with my friend, he began to curiously wander around the restaurant. I followed him worried that he might break something – but I realized there was nothing that could be broken. A staff member approached us and kindly engaged with my son, and assured me that he was welcome to explore. He then brought out a coloring page and play dough, and encouraged us to make ourselves at home. My son enjoyed playing for another half hour.
I will definitely be making poppy and olive my go-to coffee stop, and I can’t wait to go back. When I got home, I looked at their website, and was so impressed by their amazing menu. I can’t wait to go back with my family for dinner.
In my experience, family-friendly restaurants often lack quality menu choices, and restaurants that offer an impressive menu are typically not an ideal environment for children. Poppy and olive is the perfect combination of family inclusiveness with a unique menu for foodies in a beautiful environment.
I am so impressed by this establishment, and I can not recommend it enough.

What a chic place! I’ve been here to dine twice now, once for a savory brunch and once for a sweet brunch. Absolutely delicious and plated appealingly. I’ve also been to grab a pastry and coffee, and there is a small front area where you can enjoy those treats. They have lunch and dinner menus as well, they serve drinks and have two separate bars. The size of the place is huge, and it would be perfect for large parties and maybe even as a reception venue. It’s pretty enough for that for sure!!

It was fine. The food was really good. I booked our reservation in purpose and told the person who booked it for me multiple times that it was for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and her birthday was never acknowledged at all during our reservation. Kind of a let down. A cool concept but Poppy and olive is essentially just a kids menu at eppings. Nothing else separates one from the other.

AKA Epping’s is outstanding. Great medium size tapas style dishes are served by great servers in wonderful multi-room dining and bar areas. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Underwhelming experience. I’m more of a good review kind of person but this was not it, if the food had not been good I would have left 1 or 2 stars. We’ve been traveling from Brooklyn NY with kids and with the current covid-19 situation have been very careful to only do take out or curbside pick up. I called the restaurant at 6pm and the young lady over the phone was just plain rude. I checked their website prior to calling but couldn’t find any kid’s menu, when asked about it she answered in a condescending tone that it was on the website and was obviously annoyed to have to review the items over the phone. When asked about unsweetened ice tea she literally blew air, the whole conversation felt as if she just wanted to get off the phone, asking me if I was done ordering at each item added, so much that I actually forgot to ask about desserts. When I called back I was greeted by the same girl and her annoyed demeanor, again telling me the dessert menu was on the website, going to great length to check the website instead of just telling me what they had available. Obviously if I had seen the dessert menu online in the first place I wouldn’t be asking about it. Anyhow, my husband drove 35 minutes to pick up our 110$ order, came back an hour later and next thing you know, the side order of French fries from my daughter’s sliders were missing and our 2 unsweetened ice teas were missing as well. Now the 2 orders of salmon we had were quite good but pretty undercooked, my son ate around his but I love sushi so raw salmon is not something that bothers me, I enjoyed it but I know people who would have sent their salmon back. My husband liked his watermelon salad and whipped feta and I have to say the brownie was delicious. I understand it’s a rough time for everyone but we’ve been ordering from restaurants A LOT because we want to support businesses and at the end of the day I’m not sure I’d recommend this place

I have never had a more fantastic experience at a restaurant! I took my 6-year old triplet daughters. I was nervous to take them as 6-year olds and fine dining generally do not mix. Much to my surprise, Poppy and Olive’s is totally kid friendly… The menu, the home-made play dough and crayons for the table, the bathroom, and charming staff. Chef Cole came around to talk to our table and talked to each of our girls. He was so sweet with Emerson who criticized the homemade apple sauce. Enough about the kids…. the cocktails and wine were fantastic. The steak sandwich was the best ever!!! Very rarely can I order a rare steak and get it less than medium. Chef Cole knows how to make a rare steak! I just can’t wait to bring my whole family back. Next week would not be soon enough.
