We had our wedding at the Popponesset Inn and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! From the moment we booked, the staff went above and beyond to make our day stress-free and unforgettable. Our coordinator, Kelly, was incredible- organized, attentive, and so warm. She anticipated every need before we even had to ask, and made sure everything ran seamlessly. The food was phenomenal- our guests are still raving about it! Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. From the passed apps to the entrées, everything exceeded our expectations. And of course, the location itself is unbeatable. With the ocean just steps away and the most gorgeous sunset views, it felt like something out of a Cape Cod dream. Between the amazing team, the delicious food, and the stunning setting, the Popponesset Inn truly gave us the wedding of our dreams. We couldn’t recommend it more!

Very disappointed with my experience here. I have loved The Popponesset since I was a child, and my parents got married here in the 80s. I wanted to host my bridal shower here, as it is a special place to me. The event coordinator was rude and unpleasant on multiple occasions. It was shocking how rude she was to both me (the bride) and my guests, and multiple people made comments to me about her attitude.
Additionally, while the tent is a beautiful venue, it needs work. It looks a bit run down. We were told there would be basic updates before the shower (such as painting over the rust in the tent, fixing the crooked/broken lamp post out front), but nothing was done.
Lastly, the tablecloths were mismatched. We had 8 tables that were supposed to be “cream” (although they were actually light yellow and threw off the entire aesthetic), and 6 were “cream” and 2 were bright white?? They were totally wrinkled as well. This is not a cheap venue and I feel that these basic things should’ve been done correctly.
I will give a shout out to our awesome bartender and other wait staff- they were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was good as well. Overall we made it a lovely shower but I can’t help but be disappointed with the effort on the service side. I would not recommend.

We had the most amazing experience getting married at the Popponesset Inn, and from our very first visit, we knew this was the place we wanted to celebrate our special day. The vibe of the Inn and the beautiful tent is truly magical. The venue, located right on the beach in Mashpee, MA, offers a stunning, unique setting that’s hard to beat. As you move through the building and step into the tent, the view is absolutely breathtaking—everyone who sees it for the first time is completely blown away by the beauty.
The staff at the New Seabury Country Club, which operates the Popponesset Inn, is top-notch. Jennifer, the Director of Catering Sales, was our event coordinator and she was simply the best! From the moment we met her, her warmth, positivity, and excitement for our big day put us at ease. Many of the staff members have worked there for years, and it’s clear they are dedicated to making each event flawless. We felt confident that everything would go smoothly, and it absolutely did.
We chose the Grand Reception with food stations, and the food was nothing short of spectacular. From the cocktail hour appetizers to the dinner, everything was delicious and plentiful. Our guests raved about the food, and we loved how everyone could choose exactly what they wanted, with plenty of options for all tastes. The gluten-free and vegetarian choices were a huge plus and made our planning much easier.
The staff was incredibly efficient, particularly during the room flip from ceremony to reception. They made sure that we, along with our families, had drinks or anything else we needed throughout the evening. We also requested signature cocktails, along with mocktails, and the bar team was so accommodating, making sure everything was just right.
We can’t recommend the Popponesset Inn enough. If you’re looking for a stunning, unique venue with excellent food and a professional, attentive staff, this is the place to be. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more—thank you to everyone at the Popponesset Inn for making it unforgettable!

With its beach access just steps away from your ceremony/reception location, The Popponesset Inn is a clear favorite for holding a Cape Cod wedding. This Mashpee wedding venue is such a dream to photograph at from its beautiful tented area to the sandy beach for stunning seaside portraits. Not to mention the staff is always super friendly & helpful- I’ve personally worked with Jennifer Perry! We got married here in July 2021 and it will always be one of our most favorite days. First of all Jennifer Perry is an angel on earth. She helped us every step of the way and ended up becoming a dear friend. We worked together for almost 2 years since we ended up having to postpone our wedding originally planned for LDW 2020 due to covid. It was a time filled with a lot of unknowns and our only constant was Jennifer. In the end everything worked out wonderfully and we along with our guests had the absolute best time. Not only did we work closely with Jennifer on the planning but on the actual day of the wedding, Jennifer literally helped with everything. She assisted the bar, helped with the table set up, helped with my veil, and made sure everything was set up exactly how her and I discussed. If you have the opportunity to work with Jennifer for your Wedding Day it is such a privilege, she is fantastic!! She will do anything she can to be as accommodating as possible.
As for the venue, it’s beautiful. Located right on the beach offering stunning views and a good size for your guests to spread out, allowing room for tables and a great dance floor space. We had a band who also fit perfectly on the upper deck and we able to keep the dance floor going all night long. Run, don’t walk to book The Poppy. A quintessential cape cod venue.

Considering that it is one of the rich informal restaurants, the atmosphere is very rustic and simple, but the food is sensational. When we went to dinner, we were at the gates of Hurricane Ofelia and there was also a wedding in the dining room.

Outstanding setting, food, drinks, service and atmosphere. My wife and I had an excellent view of sunset from our dinner table. It comes with a price but go ahead and treat yourself- and a someone special. Looks like a great place for a wedding party in a gigantic tent on the beach. Highly recommended.
