From the days the doors opened, Poppies became a favorite landmark restaurant serving the community where friends and families alike come together to enjoy a wonderful meal. The namesake is a nod to all of the Poppies who have touched our lives in keeping these cultural traditions alive. You can enjoy Corned Beef Hash & Eggs one day and a healthy, Hummus Wrap the next. We are still a family owned and operated business and are proud to provide a valuable service to our community with a welcoming smile, offering more than a pickle and a schmear.
Jewish deli with some seating, offering salads, sandwiches & pastries, including kosher options.

This year my family and friends came to celebrate Hanukkah and the memory of so many beautiful people who have passed on; not just my parents, but especially the most recent passing of four extraordinary people who died in a terrible car accident last April. We honor their memories as we celebrate the joy of life.
There’s no way to thank Arthur enough and everyone who was working that night we were lucky enough to decide to visit your wonderful eatery. Arthur worked so hard and he went far and above as an employee with his ability to take care of all of us that night. The food was delicious and for those who were able to enjoy the desserts, not a complaint was heard. Thank you all so very much for allowing us to visit and we hope to do it again soon and encourage others to do the same.
I was excited to see corned beef on the menu and ordered the Deli Omelette and the Deli Lover Wrap. Unfortunately, both dishes were dry and lacking in flavor. The bagel that came with the meal seemed fresh-baked but wasn’t particularly memorable.
Service was attentive overall, but we were surprised to find a charge for three fresh-brewed coffees ($9.75) on our bill—none of us ordered coffee. I flagged it to the server, who removed it promptly, but it’s still disappointing that this error happened in the first place. Fortunately, I caught it before paying.
Based on the food and billing error, I’m giving this place 3 stars. There’s potential here, but my experience didn’t live up to the hype.
Maybe if you ordered the contents ( our table of 4 – 2 tongue, 1 brisket & 1 corned beef) all the same. At $20+++ a sandwich as we would calling this place a deli. FORGETTBOUTIT
I had a pastrami on a roll and he had a corn beef on rye. Both sandwiches were packed high with delicious meat and hot . We took some potato pancakes and a few other things home to eat later. Their prices are very resionable. We will definitely be back. Go check them out. You won’t be disappointed.
She helped me order the best Original Main Matzoh Brie with Onions, and correctly pointed out the delightful pairing with the included apple sauce. Not my first time to Poppies and it’s been consistently great and reliable.
Really great experience. Thank you Sherri and Poppies.
Update 09-05-24: new owners have really turned this place around. First off, service was outstanding, which was dismal in years past. They also upped their bagel game and they are made fresh daily, reason alone to come here. My wife and I both had the “lean” pastrami which was excellent. We also bought bagels home for tomorrow’s breakfast. They are in the midst of remodeling, but you can already tell it’s going to be much nicer and brighter. I will Definitely be a returning customer now
