This was the best vegan chicken sandwich of my entire life. Truly. Jordan up front is an absolute ray of light and made the whole experience even better. Finally made it in! I got the budda bowl with crispy soy per the recommendation of the chef and it was amazing! The bowl is so large – I will get to eat it again later or tomorrow for lunch. And the crispy soy – what a treat! It is seasoned so well – literally just like popcorn chicken. The dressing was also so good! I could drink that stuff Can’t wait to try my vegan/gf treat later. I will make it back as soon as possible so I can try the other bowls or their cool specials.

The staff was so friendly and brought my food out to the atrium. I loved the vegan options, I got the Golden Curry with crispy tofu for protein and I thought it was incredible. I love out of state, but would come back here if I’m in town again!

I would have never known this place was here but am sure glad I found it. It’s located in the Ruffin Building out east, which is tucked back on a hill and I never knee it was there. I mistakenly went to the downtown Ruffin Building initially, I glanced at the address and automatically thought it was the downtown one.
Very quaint little space with two tables for dining. I was very impressed that all the food was prepped and cooked fresh! Yummy! The wait was worth it, though you could totally call ahead and order. My husband and I both got the vegan burrito and it was delicious.
It’s really hard to find good vegan food but totally check this place out if that’s what you’re looking for. They do have non vegan items as well.

This place is 10 outta 10!! Jordan is absolutely wonderful with a great personality! I had the chalupa and it was so fire!! I’m in town from Florida and eat a plant based diet and this place came highly recommended! I can see why!! So amazing!! I plan on going everyday that I’m here, lol! So delicious!

I am so grateful that we stopped here on our way through town. We ordered online and didn’t quite see the scale of all of the vegan offerings. The food was delicious! We ended up with additional donuts and cheesecake after we saw everything they had to offer inside. This place is a HIT! Also, the friendliest service. We had a great conversation while we were picking up our food. Even the bathrooms next to the restaurant were perfect. Thank you for the nourishment! Please make a stop here if you get the chance.

This was my partner and I’s first stop when we flew into Kansas and man, Poppie’s had the BEST vegan food we have ever tasted! The owner and chef were super sweet and gave great recommendations. My partner got the smash burger and I got a breakfast burrito. We also got some vegan donuts to try since they were on sale. Brooooo that food was so good. We were very sleep deprived and hungry when we came, and Poppie’s Cafe truly healed us on a spiritual level. So sad we don’t live in Kansas or else we would be regulars. Thanks again!!

Poppies is a great spot for lunch. My favorite items might be their crunch wraps and gyros, but I have tried a different meal every time I’ve eaten here, and I haven’t had anything I dislike. They have a good variety of food and there are also plenty of vegan and vegetarian options available. The smoothies are delicious, and their donuts are great too! The staff are super friendly and always make me want to come back again.
