Popovers never disappoints! We’ve been coming here for years and always leave happy — this visit was no different. The welcoming atmosphere and fantastic service make every visit a pleasure. The new shrimp bowl was fresh and delicious, though for me, the vinegar-marinated artichokes in this didn’t quite blend with the rest of the dish, but try it you may love it!! That said, the espresso martini was absolute perfection. Popovers continues to be a place we look forward to returning to again and again.

I needed a last minute cake for a coworker that was leaving. On the day after Christmas I think every bakery in the state is closed. I went in here hoping they would have something. They had one cake, a Yule log. I bought it out of desperation. Every single person that I handed that cake to was blown away by how good it was and asked where I got it from. You guys definitely will have some business coming your way, the cake was that good!

This was my first visit and found it too be a great experience. Friendly staff and great variety of selections. Quality was great and the popovers were a treat. Certainly plan to go back. Ability to reserve a table made it great for a date where you could be seated immediately. This location made it ideal for a pre-movie meal.

Place was super busy, but service was quick, ordered take out at the counter and food was ready in about 10-15 minutes, got items from dessert case first while waiting for food order. Staff was very friendly. Food was good, short rib fell apart with a fork, could have used a little bit more sauce/gravy and fries were tasty. Key lime tart was just right, and Son loved the vanilla cupcake.

I was SO DISAPPOINTED. This used to be an all time fave. I hadn’t been there in several years due to relocating. I had raved about it to my husband, so we went there for dinner. A disappointment at best. A little pricy, I knew that. I ordered the spinach fruit salad, he the pulled pork sandwich. My salad had no issues. However the warm/hot cravable popovers, their signature, was cold, stale, and chewy. I had to specifically request the maple butter. Walking out I observed a great big chrome basket of them piled on the food window, who knows how long they had been there. If you don’t push perfection on your signature, you lose credibility on other items. My husband’s pulled pork was greasy, schlocky, cool, and flavorless. Served with a very scant handful of plain potato chips. We both had iced tea, were never offered refills to empty glasses. Four dollars for tea, no refills. Service was absent. We got orders, we got served, one checking about three minutes in, never saw our server again. Never offered dessert, nothing. We waited like 10 minutes after finishing just to get our check, but no refills. My salad, no protein, his sandwich, a cold popover include with my salad, and two teas? Forty dollars please, without tip.

I have visited on and off for years. This Popovers is popular with some of my family members. This is also better than the Popovers in Portsmouth. I’ve ordered both takeout and have eaten here several times.
I recently had the Toasted Roast Beef with chips. It tasted good but I didn’t get very many chips.
Live music was playing while I ate my dinner ️. The performer was good .
The pastries/ baked goods section is a diet breaker! I limited myself to a chocolate chip cookie . It tasted okay but was overpriced.
Service was very good . Seasonal outdoor dining available.
If I am in the area and hungry or I need to pick up a gift certificate as a gift , I will stop by again.

Went in to get a popover and was told I couldn’t have one lololol they had 3 left and asked if I could take the rest and was told no because of POTENTIAL other customers wanting them. I asked okay well could I have ONE and was told no again. They wanted to keep them for people dining in. Mind you, they were closing and 30 minutes. The 3 women at the front were rude, and laughed at us? Like okay….Listen I’m cool if you didn’t want to sell all of them, totally get it but bro I’m a paying customer and wanted a popover. Super unprofessional. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend

Such a fun little local spot. Loved the clam chowder!! The desserts were especially good. My husband is a big fan of the burger. We went one night for the soup, fries, and cake (our tummies aren’t so happy) but our hearts are! Each time is so good!

The high barstool type chairs were a little uncomfortable.

The food was okay. The iced tea was not freshly brewed. It tasted like those awful prebottled stuff sold at gas stations. It didn’t taste like iced tea at all.

The watermelon salad was overpriced for the size at almost $10 for such a small portion. The saladis shown in the picture. It also needed salt!

The biggest problem was with the wait staff. I had to ask for a straw, salt, & pepper from a person who I think was the manager walking around doing little things like disinfecting tables.

My waitress was never really around, and she entered my order wrong. I was supposed to have the roasted potatoes & not the french fries. If you go, double check your order when giving it.
