Everything was decent quality but it was a little bit weird to see the staff not really being representative of the community it’s in or representative of the people who mainly eat at Popeyes or who pioneered the cuisine- I am used to Popeyes being more than just a meal it is usually an experience I am glad it is a Southcenter mall it is more convenient but the vibe is a little bit off I hope they have a long stent at Southcenter and I wish them the best I just hope to see a more diverse workforce that may be more representative of the people who eat there and possibly more representative other people in our community

This is owned by the same people running the counter and kitchen. Combative behavior was displayed by the woman at the counter; when I brought back $4 beans and rice because the beans were old and dry. I had the receipt but was “interrogated” and informed that I had a 30 minute window to return it! Bottom line AVOID THIS PLACE. that little voice in the back of my head told me don’t eat the beans and rice. especially when the lady took a long time in the back to produce the product. Upon my return of the product; I felt like they wanted me to keep it. Maybe I should have and took it to a lab. I JS!

Had a great experience. I went to the Popeyes in Des Moines first and they were out of everything, so I went to the mall instead. Here they were super nice, quick, and had everything in stock. There is another review on here mentioning how the staff is “not representative of the community” that eats at Popeyes. This location appears to be run by a very nice Asian family. The previous reviewer’s comments come across as anti-Asian racism if you ask me. There are plenty of Asian people in our local community and fried chicken is huge in lots of Asian cuisine. Very disappointing comment to see. I’m also not sure how race is coming into play about employees at a fast food chain…

Chicken sandwich isn’t spicy, also not enough sauce. They also charge for water, it’s $.50 cents. Price for food is also $1-2 more compared to non-mall. I typically go to the Kent Popeyes for comparison, which I would give a 4/5 on a good day.
