Paid for entire pot of gravy but got mashed potatoes with little gravy. Asked for dark meat, got breast. You see how dark the leg meat is? Drier than jerky. If the leg is that dry, imagine the breast that I didn’t ask for. We all have problems. Don’t take it out on your jobs.

We ordered delivery through grubhub. Not only was part of our order missing, it was not ready when the driver arrived. And the rice in the red beans was under cooked/hard, the biscuits were both cold and over cooked. Terrible! So disappointed.

I rarely order fast food because they always get my order wrong, but I decided to take advantage of the 5-piece special for $12.99 today. However, I ordered the spicy chicken, and they gave me regular chicken. I was very disappointed with my order. I didn’t go back to exchange it because I was very tired from work and just wanted to eat dinner. There were only two orders at the drive-thru window, and the lobby was empty. The girl who took my order seemed very rushed. It’s so disappointing to pay for something you didn’t order. 2/4/2026

Never had issue during the day but I came at 9pm and the crew looked like they hated their job. The chicken was over cooked and dry with a ton of breading. I got the 8 piece meal and an extra side and a couple of legs, over breaded, over cooked dry wings and dry thighs. Not one breast meat in sight after paying $45.

To begin with, the french fries were missing from the order. There was hardly any beans in the red beans and rice. The spicy chicken sandwiches had too much sauce. I was not going to leave a review, until my husband came in the room pulling a long black hair out of his mouth. I have blue hair & he has short hair. It was in his sandwich.

The one star is for me to be able to post this review. This is the 1st time this happened at any Popeye restaurant. We go to Popeye at least once a moth is my son and I kind or ritual. Novenber 7th of 2025 between 4:15pm and 4:40pm we stop at this Popeye’s restaurant in Texas and there was only one person working.
It was a lady with a hair like she was fighting someone!
At first, she saw us and walked away to the back amd toke a while to come back. Basically she make us wait on purpose!
And without saying “welcome to Popeye’s” or any greetings. She looked at me and say what you want? That was something I never heard at Popeye.
I don’t want to sound racist but I will need to describe her so you understand what person she was! She was a mix race between African and white! She was dirty and was very mad. And could look us in the eyes waht was very weird.
She was the only person in the store there was 2 cars parking outside and 2 older men seating on the corner of the store eating. We placed our order and didn’t pay too much attention to the situation or her attitude because we understand taht is hard to running a store like taht alone. But something weird happened when we went to paid for the order and she said look at us and say “money only” with an accent, like she couldn’t speak English very well. I asked her why, and she keeping on reapeting cash only no card!
I told her since when they don’t accept card at that location onve we stop tehre not too long ago to eat there and I say we wanted to pay using a card, and she repeated “only money.” So I asked her to cancel the order, and we observed her for a while. As she get the order from the drive true and also a couple taht came in after us and she went to get an order at the drive-thru and told them the same thing: cash only and say machine not working. The couple that walked in she say the same thing.
We realized she was running the store by herself, or under a presure to only accept money! Or no one was there to manager her or controlling her so she was doing that with a plan to stole the store later. She wasn’t respectful or educated at any way and not qualified yo do thay job at all!
She was a mean person and might have been planning on stealing all the money the store made that day. I don’t know how Popeye corporation work but this case should be investigated and the owner of that location need to be aware of what is happening at his store and who they wire to work there.
We went to another location a little north of that location, and there was a team of people who were smiling and welcoming. They said “welcome to Popeye’s,” and we placed our order. The lady asked us how our day was going, and we said good, thank you, how about yours? She said good, thank you for asking. We pay with card and we use same card taht we was trying to use at thos location. Business have no ideia on how people like this woman can stole their $$.
We told her about the other store and what happened, and she said that wasn’t normal. I forgot to mention that the woman had something that looked like blood on her clothes, and she was very nervous and mean. I don’t know what was going on in that store, but #Popeyes should check on those stores by I35 between Austin TX and Georgetown TX. Two of those stores aren’t doing their jobs, and this can take the whole corporation down. We hope that the owner of this store or the corporation check on this situation but something wasn’t right about that lady. Wake up Popeye and stay woke.

Never, and I mean NEVER, come to this place after 830. It might be better during the day, but I ordered 5 piece tenders and fries, and all I got were an assortment of tiny little bits of cooked 90% breading 10% chicken. Fries were cold and soggy. I could obviously tell the worker hated his life and job, wasn’t exactly nice or polite at all. Never going here again

Since the near by store closed much earlier (Before 5pm… ), I had to go to the one that is little farther to get some Popeye’s chicken to ease my craving.
As usual, not enough workers (3 total) but they did what they could to fulfill orders. Yes, I had to wait a little longer to get the spicy chickens but it did not feel too long.
July 2023 update: Fried chicken was delicious, Ghost pepper wings rock! However, there were still 3 workers only…

The popeyes on 1008 N I35 is the worst Popeyes in Round Rock!!! I don’t see how their still open. I ordered UBER EATS and some how the slow witted employees decided to give me what they wanted me to have instead of what I ORDERED and PAID for. Their food is trash. The chicken isnt cooked fresh and it is dark & greasy. The food prep is sloppy. Avoid this joint at all costs.

The oil is very old and the fries were soggy same with the chicken. I tried to call them and give them a heads up. For some reason the phone is always busy. This is a bad review. Please change your oil as soon as possible.
