I was on a govt. out of town trip (TDY) to Ft. Hood, TX.
I ordered 3 shrimp tackle boxes and 3 tenders and the estimated pickup time was 5:45pm.
I arrived early, around 4:50pm, and notified two people at the counter who agreed to expedite the order.
I waited in store for around 40-50 minutes and was then informed the store was out of shrimp!!!
The mgr on duty could come up with no compromise; I suggested replacing the shrimp with chicken and was met with uncertainty about substitutions.
The mgr suggested I request a refund, however; she could not provide a refund.
Eventually, 15-20 minutes later, I was given some chicken as a substitute.
This was absolutely unacceptable and I was not happy; given that the substitute took a long time and was not what I wanted.
I am considering contesting the credit card charge for the order; because I did not get what I paid for!

Not sure if they under new management or not. The so called new general manager was not helping her employees. Where is the one they just had? She definitely helped her people. I love Ms April she keeps a smile even tho she was doing front counter and mobile orders by herself. Thank you for serving me with a smile. Management get it together

Every time I’ve come here—especially the last three visits—I’ve waited over 8 minutes at the drive-thru with no one taking my order and ended up leaving with no food. No matter if there are several cars or none at all, they always put you on a long wait of 5+ minutes before even starting your order. It feels like they take one order at a time and don’t start cooking until the previous one is fully delivered. There’s zero urgency, no apologies for the delay, and no concern for losing customers. I genuinely feel bad for the owner because the staff doesn’t seem to care about the business at all.

Went to popeyes about 3:30 today 10/19/25 No one was in line but there were a lot of people waiting to get their order. Finally after 15 minutes they took our order. Then we waited another 20 minutes to get our order. They didn’t say they had to make fries to give us a chance to change our sides. Their sweet tea is undrinkable because it’s ghastly sweet and taste like dirt because they either don’t filter their water or they need to change the filter. When we got home the chicken tender meal had very small pieces and one piece was only half a tender. Also the kitchen is disgusting and smells like a dirty bathroom. The people working this afternoon were terrible. They didn’t know what they were doing. So disorganized. Truthfully they need to get rid of all the employees and tear this place down and start over.

Went Christmas Eve around 1:15 PM and was told at the drive thru speaker that they are doing “Cook To Order” and there are 2 people ahead of me and it will be approximately a 25 minute wait, so we left. Went to Popeyes in Harker Heights, ordered my food and received it in less than 15 minutes. Harker Heights is a better location for customer service in my opinion.

I got to order my food and waited about 20 minutes for it. I tried to be patient because I know from personal experience that working in fast food is rough, however when I get my food soggy and my biscuit mashed up I lose my appetite. The main thing that makes me mad was that five other cars got their food before I did and my biscuit is mashed up and oily to the point it soaked completely through 5 napkins. Very sad but I’m definitely not eating here again. Do better

Ms. April was the best server she took care of myself and my father in law and made us feel very welcome. The rest of the staff was great and greeted us with a smile on their faces. Definitely recommend that you come see Ms. April and the amazing staff at this location.

I still had to wait another 25 minutes after placing my order online. Half my food was missing. Tried calling the store and of course they are not answering. This Popeyes needs to do better especially when people are spending 90 dollars on food for their family!!

This place is disgusting and it’s supposedly newly renovated. The staff who work there are not friendly at all. You walk in, the store is empty, and they don’t even look at you to serve you. They should close it down or find better employees and better management.
