Awful! As soon as we walked in the manager announced that she was closing and locked the doors WITH US INSIDE! Then she packed up a big box of chicken and walked out and went home! I even took pics because I couldn’t believe it. She left 2 inexperienced employees to run the entire store. Then the GM and some owner type guy showed up to help, except the owner guy just walked in and sat up his laptop in a corner without even acknowledging us guests who had been locked in. Not a hi, hello, sorry about your experience, can I pick up your dinner for you.. nothing! Then when I tried to engage him to brag on the 2 employees who held things down before he showed up, I had to stop talking mid sentence because it was clear he was more interested in what was on his laptop than he was engaging with me. When he finally disengaged from his laptop to give me his attention I was met with some half hearted, feigned concern.
It’s obvious what’s wrong with this store, and it’s the culture that starts at the top!

The worst fast food experience EVER. And I’m old. As a New Orleans native, I love Popeyes and was craving a chicken sandwich. Went thru the drive thru in Fairview Heights – there was one car ahead of me. I had to wait to be greeted, only to hear “What is you order”. Then I pulled up to the window and the employee opened the window and did.not.say.a.thing. Handed her payment, she returned a receipt. did.not.say.a.thing. Then re-opened window and told me to pull up. There were no cars behind me. Did not thank me or anything. The girl who delivered my food handed it to me and then left. Did.not.say.a.thing. No thank you, nothing.
So the sandwich – disgusting. Cold, consisting mostly of the breaded bits (very little chicken, but the actual chicken was hard), and mayo.
Terrible staff, terrible service, terrible food.

Every time you come to this establishment in particular. You are always asked to pull around whether there are no cars or seven cars. The speed and accuracy of this establishment is horrific. No one really knows what you ordered they just bring you food and ask you by the car. understanding everyone makes mistakes. However, this is every visit it’s like no one is paying attention. They don’t give you receipts and can not remember what you are order or how long you have been sitting and waiting. I wish I could give a better rating unfortunately I just can not. I am sitting here now and everything I described in this message is happening. It appears that no manger is on duty and if they are my Goodness. I really hope this gives the mangers insight as well as the owner. This establishment can pull in tons of revenue. They have a prime location it just requires workers that are willing to work and mangers. That are able to mange sitting for 40 mins is not acceptable. Specially when you have no line and only two cars waiting .

Ordered online and no one in the drive-through but we still have to pull up and wait. And wait. Not busy at all and yet it takes 30 minutes to get a small order? After 30 minutes of waiting in the parking lot and no order we finally had to go inside. They still didn’t have the order ready. This is ridiculous. People cannot wait 35-40 minutes for fast food orders, especially when they are not even busy. And good luck getting your order correct. This restaurant location has steadily gone downhill for years and this did it for me as I will not be returning. With this kind of service, you should just close. There is no excuse for this poor of service.

It is so slow. I understand short staffing but 35 minutes to get 3 cars through the drive thru. My food was not correct so I had to go back. There were 3 others with incorrect orders. The chicken was funky tasting & left a nasty after taste, the slaw had a funny taste & the potatoes were cold. The biscuits are not edible they are rocks. The pieces are so tiny. The thighs are the size of a half dollar, the wings are miniature, the legs are dummies. It is ridiculous.

I ordered my food, and I was told to wait because they had to drop fries. Not even 90 seconds after I pulled away from the drive thru, I received my order. The chicken sandwich was lukewarm at best, the fries were the same temperature, and my drink had zero carbonation, so it was mostly syrup. The person who handed me my food asked if I ordered the sandwich and just walked off. This Popeyes solidified my decision to never go to another Popeyes.

The drive-through didn’t work, I blew for 1 mins until I drove around. The lady said it didn’t work. No sign saying the drive thru was down. It’s took 45 mins for the ghost pepper wings, the Mashed potatoes were spoiled, and chicken wrap was old. The young guy was new, kept going in and out taking people they food didn’t wash his hands when he came in, didn’t know how work the register. The two young people didn’t have on hair nets. I am writing to formally complain about a very disappointing experience at the Popeyes Chicken location in Fairview Heights on December 23, 2024.
I arrived at approximately 7:16 p.m. and placed my order with a manager wearing a green shirt, as no one was standing at the counter. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with fries and a Pepsi using a code. The person I was with ordered chicken tenders and fries.
After waiting until approximately 7:40 p.m., I approached the counter to ask about my order. The manager on duty stated that they had not had chicken all day and asked who had taken the order. I informed her it was the manager wearing the green shirt. I finally received a refund however the ticket read classic chicken sandwich with potatoes and gravy and a Pepsi. Again I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, fries and a Pepsi.
At that time, my companion was still waiting for his food. When he finally received it and began eating, the chicken tenders were old and dried out, and the fries were cold.
While we were still in the restaurant, the manager was yelling at the crew behind the counter, stating they needed a better system and should be serving customers in the order they arrive. Despite ordering earlier, at least six other customers received their food before we did.
This experience raised serious concerns regarding customer service, order accuracy, and food quality. I am also concerned about food safety given the condition of the food served. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this location.
I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately.
Hate that Chicken from Popeyes.

I’ll never visit this location again. I placed an order at drive thru. There was one other car ahead of me. I was told to pull up. I waited over 20 mins for my food. I tried to go in to ask for my food but the door was locked. I got home and realized that I was shorted my order 5 pieces of chicken. I called the store and was told “the manager doesn’t want to talk to anybody at this time”. I have attempted to contact corporate by phone and email 3 times and have never received a reply. Never visit this store.

I am officially done with this Popeyes. I see all of the reviews and apologizing to everyone just doesn’t cut it anymore. Nothing has changed with all of the apologies, its the same old song and dance. Us as patrons spend our hard earned money at your establishment and expect good service.Popeyes you do realize you are providing a SERVICE!! In a nutshell again a 45 minute wait for 3 small lunch orders nothing special,sat in drive through for 10 -15 minutes and got told to wait out front in the wait area parking spot and waited there for another 15 minutes for the food. received the food and looked in the bag and of course the wrong order. I had to go in the store for the right order. I got my order finally and looked in the bag and of course the sides were wrong. I finally got the right sides. I got back to work and 2 out of the 3 boxes containing the chicken were wrong. I didnt think to look in the boxes since it was just simple 2 and 3 piece chicken orders. 2 boxes had tenders when tenders weren’t even ordered. The real kicker is the employee said she guaranteed it was correct order. Low and behold 45 minutes later and the order still wasn’t correct. Do me a favor Popeyes please don’t apologize to me,just take responsibility for your poor service from you and especially your employees.
