Staff was nice, but there’s a clear lack of team coordination. No one seems to know who’s handling what, which leads to long waits and wrong orders for both dine-in and pick up orders. I’ve also noticed a decline in food quality and portion size. The mac and cheese I got was barely filled and just had a big slab of melted cheese on top.

Decided to come here just because I got a gift card for my birthday. When I walked in, a number of people were waiting for their food. I placed my order which was a 3 piece chicken with 2 sides, biscuit, and large pop. As I was waiting for my food, another couple came in and then left after they decided they weren’t going to wait in line since the service was so terrible. I finally got my food and was disappointed with my meal since they gave me 2 small wings and a breast. I went back up to the counter to show them how small the wing was since it was all crust and bone and no meat. I said to them, “You’ve got to do better than this”. One of the employees then gave me a leg since I found out it was supposed to come with a leg. In addition, the chicken was dry, the rice and beans came in a tiny container, and no honey or catsup was served with the food. Any time I went to the counter, I felt like I was being a bother. I also question the hygiene in this place.

My husband got the spicy chicken sandwich combo with mashed potatoes and coke and they gave him fries… they also didn’t give him his biscuit. The customer service here was atrocious ! We asked to do two orders and she said “ we don’t do that”. The person taking the order was clearly high. She was very rude. The bathroom was out of toilet paper and there was a bag of trash on the floor! My meal was good but sadly my husbands order was wrong and the customer service was trash.

We live over an hour and a half away and Popeyes is always our last stop on our way home after shopping. It is a nice treat for us later in the night. In fact, eating out at all anymore is a huge treat for a lot of people. We ordered our favorite spicy chicken dinners. We did check our bag to make sure we received all the sides we ordered. When we got home, we found we had received boring, regular chicken on both orders. We paid $28 for our spicy chicken dinners. It’s not like we can bring it back. Such a disappointment. Do better guys!

The food is always good, and the staff are always friendly. However, something that’s been really frustrating is that when we order delivery or pickup, items are often missing. About 7 out of 10 times, something is left out. Yesterday, the sandwich was missing again. It’s disappointing not to receive all the food we paid for. Please make sure to double-check the order before it goes out.

I ordered food from the restaurant and I paid for the new cheese bites and i didnt receive any. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and my bread was not toasted at all! And I mean at all it was whiter than a cloud on a blue sky. And on top of that my chicken patty had a fat bone in the middle!!! That has never happened to me at any Popeyes establishment ever!!! I have had plenty of chicken sandwiches and never was there a bone in the middle!!! I almost choked on it. Honestly horrible I love Popeyes but this establishment blows they have let me down many times before but this one was enough for me to make this review.unfortunate to say the least

Everyone should know that this Popeyes, along with others in Iowa, are all franchised by Jam Equities. They were sued by Popeyes because they were in violation of their license agreement. At one point Popeyes terminated the agreement and yet the restaurants stayed open and continued to operate as Popeyes. The lawsuit was recently settled and the restaurants can remain open but Jam Enterprises is required tor sell all their Popeyes Iowa and one Chicago restaurant by July of 2026 to another Popeyes approved franchisee.
It makes sense why there are so many negative complaints at this restaurant. The franchisee has no desire to make sure the food is well prepared or that there is even food to serve or that the customer service is a good experience. I don’t know why Popeyes would allow a franchisee to treat their brand like this for another 6 months. By the time a new franchisee takes over they are going to have to do so much damage control to bring people back.
I have experienced many of the same issues noted in other posts on multiple occasions. It was a result of such horrible experiences at this Popeyes that I started researching this Popeyes location and quickly found out what a horrible franchisee has been running this restaurant. Popeyes is an all time favorite of mine and it really is unfortunate that this franchisee has trashed the brand.
I also question who is providing all of the Popeyes responses to the horrible negative reviews. They just placate the person making the review yet if you notice they never offer refunds, never offer replacement meals, never offer to do anything to actually correct the issues and make the customer whole and happy. To just keep writing how much you care about great customer service; good hygiene; quality food product, and meeting the customers needs yet not actually doing the work needed is horrible. It would be better to quit responding. After a while it is evident that the responses are only for appearance purposes for the others who read the reviews. The history and pattern of the negative reviews and lack of corporate Popeyes or the franchisee actually making the needed changes is evident from the continued negative and horrible reviews.
Drive away from this restaurant, save yourself having to experience what others have already experienced. Sadly most people won’t see the negative reviews until they have already had a negative experience and are now online posting their own negative review.
Update – Look at the review from Popeyes. These non action responses are probably just AI generated. To not actually take verifiable and actionable responses makes a joke of all the concern that is being professed in response after response.

We went through the drive thru around 9:15 pm and ordered two $6 big boxes with chicken tenders, fries, mac and cheese, and blackened ranch for our dipping sauce. We were then told to pull around front and they would bring our order out to us. After waiting 20 minutes we finally got our food only for it to be completely wrong: we got a drumstick, a breast, and a wing instead of chicken tenders, rice and mashed potatoes instead of mac and cheese, no dipping sauce, and no utensils. When we brought this up to the employee, she said she thought we ordered the 3 pc combo and was sorry but did not offer to give us our correct order. She also said she was out of dipping sauces and was waiting for the truck to come in tomorrow, which she didn’t disclose to us when we ordered. Hands down the most disappointing fast food experience I’ve ever had.
