When I arrived today **the day before Thanksgiving** I was told the store was “sold out” and they “didn’t have my turkey.” No explanation. No warning. No call. No email. No apology. No effort to fix it. Nothing. Just a flat, casual “we don’t have any more.”
How is it even possible to be *sold out* of something that was already **pre-ordered** and **paid for**? What exactly was the point of the pre-order form and taking my money if you’re going to sell my turkey out from under me?
This is **completely unacceptable**. Popeyes confirmed my order, accepted my payment, and then failed to provide the product I paid for on a major holiday when finding a replacement is nearly impossible. Because of their incompetence, negligence, and lack of communication, my family’s Thanksgiving meal is now in jeopardy. Instead of spending today preparing, I am forced to run around at the last minute hoping to find whatever scraps are left at overcrowded grocery stores all because this store couldn’t manage basic inventory or honor pre-paid commitments.
What makes it worse is the absolute lack of concern from the staff. Not even a simple “Sorry.” No accountability. No attempt at a solution. Just a shrug and dismissal, like my holiday plans didn’t matter at all.
If Popeyes can’t fulfill **paid** Thanksgiving pre-orders, one of the most important meals of the year, then they shouldn’t be advertising them in the first place. This was a total failure of customer service, communication, and professionalism. I will be escalating this to corporate because this kind of service is beyond disappointing; it’s downright disrespectful.
Save yourself the stress and order your holiday meal from a business that actually honors its commitments. Popeyes clearly does not.
I ordered a Cajun turkey from this Popeyes TEN DAYS in advance for Thanksgiving pickup, thinking I was being responsible and avoiding the holiday chaos. Joke’s on me. I showed up the day before Thanksgiving receipt in hand, order confirmed, everything squared away only to be told, with a shrug, that they never had my order and they’re completely out of turkeys.
No apology. No solution. Just “we don’t have it.”
How do you take an order, take a payment, issue a receipt… and then somehow not have the turkey? Did it evaporate? Did someone misplace an entire bird? Did it get raptured?? Because apparently every Popeyes in Michigan is out, too. I called around like a man desperately searching for a lost child, only to learn there are zero turkeys left in the state.
So now I’m stuck the day before Thanksgiving fighting through grocery stores that look like they’ve been looted by a zombie horde, trying to find anything resembling a main course to go with the potatoes I already prepped.
This location absolutely ruined my Thanksgiving plans with incompetence I honestly didn’t believe was possible. If you promise a holiday meal, have the holiday meal. If you take an order, honor the order. If you mess up, at least pretend you care.
Do better. Or at the very least, don’t leave customers stranded on the biggest food day of the year.
I worked in the food industry and it’s hard to keep up. It’s not hard to get the order right. Our younger generation is educated enough to get it right. Stop being lazy and ignorant. Everyone is tired, everyone has a battle they face. Is the food good, normally yes as long as they get it right CHECK your orders thoroughly. Stay Kind
I found it pretty pricey for a fast food. I asked to remove the mayo and they didn’t. Im not sure what I got matches my order.
