I went to the Popeye’s drive thru last night on 1-30-26 around 7:00pm. The drive thru attendant said the wait would be 12 minutes. I did not leave the drive thru until after 7:40pm which was 40 minutes. I ordered an 8 piece (dark, chicken only) with a side of fries. When I got home, 15 minutes away, I realized that it was a mix of white and dark which is not what I wanted. Needless to say, this was my last time going to Popeye’s in Eastpointe. The service is horrible, the wait is way too long and the chicken was horrible. The worst $28.00 spent. The don’t even have the decency to apologize for the extra long wait time.

The service is only bad because they hand out the wrong orders or dont mess up your order so much. They easily fix it when you come in, no problem. Nice about it but I just dont want to have to always double check and then actually be missing something or it be wrong. Not the best chicken quality I have had from Popeyes. Its not consistent with heat as in temperature and overall quality. Again, its not bad but I have had consistent good Popeyes at other locations which prompted me to come to this one. Unfortunately I did not take photos as the first order was not mine. I went for the Hot Ones and they left the wings. They gave me tenders. We know what tenders are. The chicken seems to be smaller also for some reason. A lot of younger staff so I get the quality issues but this can be changed as I use to run a few fast food and chain stores. Speed is hit or miss.

As of January 19th 2026 I just read all your bad reviews and I’m wondering why you guys hired so many rude and bad people and you guys never have enough food or always run out , it good you guys respond back to the customers who complained but what are you guys doing about it to make a change in your restaurant and plus you’re in eastpointe, if we pay our money we will be looking for a fresh and hot food I’ve been there maybe maybe once and that was in the middle of 2025 I had and issue with cold and old chicken plus they didn’t want to cook any hot chicken so Im asking have you guys got some respectable workers there now and enough food for customers to come in and receive some hot chicken or your side? Place service is terrible. Speed on getting orders out is extremely terrible. I gave this place 3 breaks a piece. All a year apart. And when I say nothing has changed. I mean that. I currently ordered on Uber Eats 1 hr and a half ago. I’m on my 3rd driver. There ls no excuse for this poor service. There phone don’t even work because I guarantee you if I did. It wouldn’t stop ringing. Get it together Popeyes.

My chicken sandwich was a real chicken breast with a crispy coating. I rarely eat fast food however it was good. The French fries were batter coated and not seasoned which I liked. The sweet was delicious! I never drink tea with sugar. However my friend said it was really good! So good in my opinion I would stop if I was passing by just to get the tea! (Guess I will have to say I enjoy sweetened tea now!)

I went to the drive thru on February 8 @ 4:20 it was 1 car in front of me that had already ordered and they told her not to pull up. So I had to wait 15 minutes to even order and when I did I was told the same thing don’t pull up, so I waited another 15 minutes just to pay and the car in front of me had paid and left. Only thing I ordered was a 3 piece with mashed potatoes and a coke. This is unacceptable that a drive thru should take that long and there rude.

Every single one of the restaurants on 9 mile hires high school teenagers with TERRIBLE communication skills. Its like talking to a brick wall trying to get service ontop of the already disgusting food they serve you just to get you out of the line. They would hand you slop if they could because they dont care !!!! Do NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATION BUT HERE.
