Love Popeyes food. The staff on the other hand is horrible and it’s not just this specific one, it’s most of them.
Here’s the issue. We were standing in line waiting to order for about 5 minutes watching the front end staff chit chat with each other and talk to the customers. Finally after being told to order on one of the kiosks we tried telling them we were paying cash and they didn’t want to hear or talk to us. We got a “just a minute “ which took into another 5 minutes. We’ve never ordered on these kiosks, they didn’t give any type of assistance. The one girl could’ve helped us out while she was waiting on the other orders to finish instead of staining there talking.
When she finally helped us, it seemed like she had an attitude so we decided to leave and not order anything. Horrible service.

I placed an order via their app, arrive 20 min later, was told that they weee working on the order. So I stood waiting, a woman that appeared to be a manager ask me what I wanted, I told her the young lady was getting my mobile order, she asked my name, and told me to go stand by the trash can. Multiple people came, placed orders, as I waited. Multiple people stood in the mobile pick up area, where I was told I could not, and she said nothing to them, even joked around with them. After about another 20 min of waiting by the trash can, for a mobile order I had placed going on 45 min prior, she asked what’s your name, and said oh we haven’t started your order, it’ll be a few. Extremely disappointed. The area where the young man is standing, is the mobile order pick up area, where my order should have been, the young man stood there for like 10 min & not told to stand by the trash can. This was treatment from the lady with her back turned, wearing the black shirt. The young lady facing the counter was the only helpful person

The place is pretty clean, the employees are clean and professional. The food has good flavor, but it is a little pricey for the amount (a skinny leg and wing for $14 it’s just absurd)… if I would have driven 15 minutes down the road to the Mexican restaurant, I would have gotten half a fresh grilled chicken with more flavor, with rice and beans for near the same price. @memerios1020

The store manager Elle and her staff were amazing! While her lovely staff (ana ,shante, iesha,David) help assisted me in my order and giving recommendations Ms. Elle, store manager,got off her lunch period to help assist with her online orders and making sure EVERY customer was served and satisfied which I highly was. EVERYTIME I come here I feel loved, appreciated and always have FRESH HOT FOOD served by very attentive kind employees( I sometimes burns my mouth lol).

The manager that was there today, October 29th at 11a needs better training on customer service. I politely asked for fresh chicken that hadn’t been sitting on the counter for 10 minutes. The manager said no, we’re not cooking anymore chicken for another 20 minutes and walked away. Mind you there was no other chicken done. This location is the worse. Slow no matter if they are busy or not and the managers are always unprofessional. Do not recommend

I stopped at this location while traveling to order food and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The manager on duty around 7:15PM on 12/20/25 appeared more focused on talking on her phone than assisting customers or supporting her employees.

I waited approximately 18 minutes for a two-piece chicken meal, even after informing the manager that I was willing to accept whatever was currently available. When my order was finally brought out, my drink was missing. I informed the manager that I had ordered a chilled lemonade, and she instructed me to get a cup myself. She then stated the lemonade machine was broken, despite it visibly appearing to be operational.

Due to the lack of professionalism and poor management, I will not be returning to this location. Popeyes would benefit from stronger management and improved customer service standards.

Do not go here customer service is very ugly!!!!! They ran out of mash potatoes left the kitchen to get hot water from some dark place.The time and date was 9-26 2025 3:30 pm and specifically a light skinned young lady that was working attitude was disgusting her behaviors showed she didn’t want to be there, throwing chicken sandwiches into food bins like basketballs, like seriously that’s someone food. She was turning her face up to customers was so uninviting and unpleasant. It took 2 guys 30 minutes to get their food. One guy only ordered 3 chicken tenders. I know this issue will not get resolved because it is Lake Station. After 20 minutes of waiting me and my family asked for a refund, and that took forever because the young lady issuing the refund shorted me $3.00 so we had to wait until she pulled out her phone to calculate and figure out how much of difference she owed me. They never even attempted to make our order which was only a 5pc – 2 can dine meal. When in fact there was fresh chicken just sitting. 6 workers including the manager couldn’t get it done. I had to drive all the way to Crown Point to get better service. I was seated in less than 10 minutes enjoying my food. I will be contacting Popeyes association/corporation as well about this location. Lake Station needs orientation on how to serve and work with the public.

The general manager assisted me with the kiosk and placed my order, only to inform me—after I had already waited for 15 minutes—that there was an additional 12-minute wait for spicy chicken and that they were out of coleslaw. She then had an irritated expression on her face when i asked what other sides did they have. The service overall was good, and the employees were friendly, except for the unfortunate moment when I witnessed the same manager yelling at her staff. These are still people at the end of the day, and that kind of behavior just felt unnecessary. Also a in a professional setting this should be taken care of differently. One poor young lady had just set down a fresh batch of mashed potatoes and was immediately scolded to “put it up” before she even had the chance. It honestly seems like there’s a shortage of people who want to work, but even so, the manager should have handled things much more professionally and notified me about the wait on ny order before placing it.

The restaurant was filthy. The tables, chairs, floors and window sills were all filthy. I asked for a lid for my drink and never got one until my sister looked inside the cabinet and gave it to me. The counter girl didn’t attempt to assist me and never even said thank you for putting the lids out. The sweet tea had no sugar in it and the canister didn’t have a lid on it. The chicken wasn’t spicy which I ordered, it was hard and the red beans and rice was way too salty. I can’t believe I wasted $14 on poor service and below subpar food quality. This was the worst food I’ve ever had.

I usually love popeyes however this particular location has got to be by far the worst one I’ve been to. Took over 30 min for us to get 3 sandwiches. The staff was rude and the manager wasn’t of much help it seems as if whatever she was doing on her phone was more important than helping her staff and customers.
