Himes Breakfast was an awesome experience from start to finish. The restaurant was very clean and had such a cozy, welcoming vibe, making it the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a great breakfast.
I ordered the Lumberjack, and everything came out great. The eggs were cooked perfectly and placed on top of the mashed potatoes—not cooked together—but honestly, it still worked really well and tasted amazing. One thing I really liked is that you can sub the biscuit for French toast or pancakes. I chose the French toast, but the Lumberjack is so much food that it was honestly hard to even get to it .
Everything was delicious, and I’d give this place a 10 out of 10—I’ll definitely be back.
Shoutout to our waitress Sienna, who was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly, recommended a bunch of great options, and made deciding easy. She checked on us often and even brought out a new syrup they make for us to try, which was so good.
This place will definitely be seeing more of me!
First, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and spotlessly clean. You can tell they take pride in their space. The service was top-notch; the servers and entire staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Despite being busy, our order came out with impressive speed and no long waits here!
Now, the food, we ordered the Crunch French Toast, Loaded Home Fries, and Biscuits. Every single item was cooked to absolute perfection.
The Crunch French Toast was a revelation, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with an amazing taste that wasn’t overly sweet.
The Loaded Home Fries were the ultimate savory side, packed with flavor and the perfect texture.
The Biscuits were fresh, buttery, and melted in your mouth.
The quality of ingredients and the skill in the kitchen are evident in every bite. The taste was consistently amazing across the entire meal.
To top it all off, the price for the portion size and quality was more than fair. You leave feeling full, happy, and feeling like you got incredible value.
Hime’s Breakfast House has earned a loyal customer. If you’re looking for a delicious, satisfying breakfast served by a wonderful team in a clean and cheerful setting, look no further. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
My wife and I decided to try Himes Breakfast House today, Saturday, at 10:00 a,m. The wait was 20 minutes but there was steady movement toward our name on the wait list.
The atmosphere is bright, clean and that of a busy breakfast place. There are ample servers to move service along – we never felt rushed in any way.
I ordered the jessie’s bowl, which normally comes with two eggs over a large bowl of “jessie’s grits” – think of a loaded potato but with grits instead of a potato. I had 3 eggs instead of 2 eggs and from the choice of toast or biscuit, I chose an english muffin. (The english muffin came with soft butter, which I appreciate.)
Not fully realizing the size of my order, I also ordered a side of fried green tomatoes, which are smaller than the size of a fully grown tomato but larger than the size of a half dollar. The fried green tomatoes came with ranch dressing and were decently breaded and fried .
My wife ordered a basic benny with a side of the jessie’s grits. My wife also chose a lemon ricotta pancake with a citrus syrup as a side. DO NOT SKIP THE LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKE!
Our food was ample in size and everything was very tasty. It was a delightful meal!
Our server Kayla was wonderful – quick, informative and present without ever being intrusive. We would welcome her as our server again.
Himes Breakfast House is a perfect place for friends, families and all to savor a flavorful breakfast. We plan on bringing our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids there soon. It is worth a try!
It’s really loud when packed since it’s just an open room with no middle walls. Fast in and out and only a 20 min wait on a Sunday morning.
When i called this morning, She answered and was extremely polite and sympathetic. All is well in the universe and i’m still going to suggest if you order to go check your order before you leave. But other than that , this place is amazing
Received wrong to go order but before we get to that, let’s get to the good stuff!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Gayle’s omelet, and the addition of cheese, bacon, and scallions to my grits was a delightful complement. While dining alone, I also requested a chef salad for takeout. Upon returning to my residence in Indian Rocks Beach, I discovered the salad was a strawberry-based selection, which I am unable to consume. This was a regrettable oversight, and I trust the owner will address this matter through this review. The uneaten salad remains refrigerated pending a resolution. I must commend their sweet tea, which was exceptionally well-prepared. I observed that the server appeared somewhat distracted, possibly due to interactions with the manager, which may have contributed to the order discrepancy; however, her demeanor was pleasant and did supply my refills of the amazing sweet tea on time!! Maybe inspect your to go orders before you leave the restaurant.
had a wonderful breakfast and would definitely eat here again. We did not wait long to be seated. Our nice server Slim brought out out tea and coffee promptly and both were good.
My eggs scrambled well done had to be sent back as under cooked. The new eggs were perfect. The home fries are very tasty and the English muffin was very good. My husband loved his biscuit. The bacon was very meaty.
I definitely would recommend eating here.
Great service and great food and reasonable priced.
