“if you don’t want ghost pepper just say that”
Ma’am…are you good??
The whole store heard her talking, I wasn’t tripping. She was being a bully thinking I wouldn’t say something.
Genuinely, I felt disrespected and that wasn’t cool.
Im going to give a play by play, since she tried to play in my face. Im going to be charitable here and say that she was probably confused:
1) I ordered ghost pepper tenders. I received plain tenders, went back up and told them it wasn’t what I ordered. The breading was also “bready” ( as in it wasn’t fully cooked, there was uncooked flour in it), and didn’t taste like it had any seasoning. I chalked that up to maybe they changed their recipe, trying to be charitable right? But, my boyfriend’s chicken wasn’t breaded that way.
2) She sprinkled on the ghost pepper rub kinda heavy and gave it back. I couldn’t get over how off it tasted so I tried my boyfriend’s chicken. His tasted normal. That’s when I knew something was off so I went back up to tell them I don’t think it was breaded correctly. I paid $20 for our meal I just want some regular popeyes.
3) She got defensive after we went to sit back down, complaining about how I described my issue with the chicken. Like I said, the whole store could hear it. It was rude as hell—-I’m telling you that the food I paid for wasn’t cooked right, how you gonna be mad at me?
4) I got offended because she was complaining LOUDLY as if I was making up issues. I called it out to her, her manager stepped in to say that she was just describing the issue. I know her manager was trying to defend her…but my boyfriend and I both heard her. Two other customers did. Shortly after we heard her say “my chicken is perfect.” It’s very clear this girl can’t take any feedback even when it’s about the FOOD I PAID FOR and not her.
Look at the pic. I really do not think that the breading is meant to look like that.
Edit* Corrected the spelling of biscuit. Unsure the reason Popeyes response included the same misspelling. I’ll leave that interpretation to anyone reading this. :/
that I requested just classic chicken for. It may have been on my part but I’m pretty sure I order Cole Slaw and ended up with Cajun fries instead. I’m a little disappointed and they should have read back the order. You can see the spice in the chicken on the top.
I’m sure their drive thru time is great bc the parking lot is filled with every car that comes through drive thru
After pulling me into a spot 3 people came to my car with the wrong order each time I told them the name on my order and what it was but when I went inside to finally get my order the lady said they told her I had not arrived yet. (This is after going thru the drive thru to check in, receiving my drink and being pulled into a spot)
I waited over 45 minutes and the food I received had just been sitting on the counter getting cold for who knows how long.
Then to top it all off there was no napkins or utensils in my bag. And the sauce I received was not the sauce I requested. I’m very disappointed. Needless to say I won’t be back to this Popeyes anytime soon.
