Just love being the first in line just to wait 25 minutes for 3 sandwiches that look like somebody punched them. Meanwhile the people behind me got their food first. Time after time I try to give this location another chance and every single time I’m reminded why I don’t go to here. Once again highly disappointed.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my experience at this Popeyes location on February 18, 2026, at approximately 2:55 PM in the drive-thru. I was fortunate enough to get food today because generally for some reason every Popeyes is out of chicken anytime I come. This visit reflected a level of service that was both unprofessional and discourteous. The employee working the drive-thru (a taller woman; I did not obtain her name) interacted with me in a manner that felt dismissive and rude, as though my presence was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer transaction. As a paying customer, I expect at minimum a respectful and professional interaction. This experience reinforces a pattern I have personally encountered at multiple Popeyes locations consistently poor customer service. While the food may meet expectations, the service culture appears to require serious attention. Frontline staff represent the brand, and when customer-facing employees lack basic professionalism, it reflects directly on leadership and management oversight.
I would strongly encourage management to review training standards, customer service expectations, and accountability measures for drive-thru staff. Customers should not feel unwelcome or disrespected when choosing to spend their money at your establishment. At this time, I do not plan to return to this location. However, I hope to see improvements in the future that reflect a stronger commitment to customer experience.

“I’d rate Popeyes in Gainesville 1/5 stars. My visit was marred by a filthy dining area, complete with trash scattered about. Staff seemed utterly disrespectful, offering no apology or assistance. My order was incorrect, and when I returned to address the issue, the employee’s response was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially telling me “I gave you what you got because the spicy chicken wait is just 5 minutes.” To add insult to injury, the manager with long hair seemed more interested in styling their hair over the food than resolving customer concerns. If corporate doesn’t step in to address these severe service and cleanliness issues, I won’t be returning, and I doubt many others will either.”¹

I placed an order online. Even though I wanted almost 30 mins for it and had to come inside because they were having “technical difficulties” the food was very good and fresh. I ordered spicy chicken but they didn’t have any, which I didn’t like because it was lunch rush and I think they should’ve been better prepared. But the one thing that stood out to me was the composure that the female manager (light skin with blonde wig) had through the entire thing. They had a lobby full of customers placing orders, waiting for orders, door dashers being difficult.. but she never once got rude or lacked professionalism. The times I’ve been there she’s always tried to fix the issues in what ever way she can and I love that! I used to work in food service as a manager too so I know how she was feeling. Despite the chaos the food was 10/10 and we were missing no items. Worth the wait.

These are the most disrespectful and incompetent food service employees I have ever seen. While waiting on one chicken wing from a full order, we were told that it would take 12 minutes for the wing to be prepared. We were told that same thing three times. While other people came and went, getting full orders of chicken both in the lobby area and in the drive thru, we were kept waiting repeatedly. The manager only said that she was sorry, while an employee at the counter was actually laughing at our impatience. This is not the first time we have had that problem; it’s so many times now that we won’t be back, in spite of the fact that the location is convenient and we love the food.

Ordered 12 pcs bundle got 10 pcs and half was burnt. I knew better but I wanted some Popeyes. Damn shame that anyone would serve that.

DO NOT GO HERE! I’ve faced way too many bad experiences from this store, ranging from food poisoning to disrespectful service. I recently made a mobile order that was delayed because the store was unable to open 2 HOURS past its scheduled open time. I basically left since I can’t wait that long for “fast food” and had to create a ticket with the virtual bot in hopes of receiving a refund. This hasn’t been the first time I’ve faced a terrible experience! I’ve had an employee charge me for things without even telling me there’s an upcharge for it. I’ve also had food poisoning from their food! This is truly the last straw and I hopefully can warn all of you before you face any trouble!
*Update: I have talked to their customer service and it is just horrible. No live agent calling me, just someone emailing me at random hours. The best they could do was give me a refund which was already in placed since I can’t pick up an order an hour late. No compensation, no genuine apology, this restaurant is a joke.

The Clean, Professional, Polite employee Jarret, made my experience very pleasant. I appreciate how hard he worked through the pre dinner late lunch rush. He maintained positive attitude and polite composure. Thank you Jarret. I pray they pay well, your worth it as a excellent employee.

The food looked and tasted fine on Wednesday February 18th until I got home that night and started suffering from food poisoning. The worst feeling I ever felt ! It took almost 4 days to feel better! I firmly believe someone did not wash there hands on February 18th around 3:30 pm when you made my 3vpiece tender meal with macaroni and biscuit and medium cocoala !

My beautiful girlfriend and I came here while waiting for an oil change and it was a huge mistake. Upon ordering, the man at the register mumbled asking us questions and looked at us disgusted. There was no ice in the drink machine. My beautiful girlfriend went to get lemonade, I’m hoping it was cola because whatever came out of the lemonade spout was brown. My beautiful girlfriend wanted fries but instead got mashed potatoes that were practically inedible. Speaking of inedible, the biscuit just tasted like a giant brick of salt. The only good thing were the fries that I got as part of my meal. Atmosphere was subpar. Every table was covered in grease and one of the employees kid was “living” in one of the booths.
