Wish it were better as we pull for such local establishments, but we are honest here. Food taste was below are expectations. Price was way above our expectations. $3.89 for a small slice of buttermilk pie. $40 total for two people with waters to drink. Then the card swipe wanted 18, 20 or 25% for a tip and with no table service. No service, then no tip. We were hoping for better food and pricing. The environment was very nice.

The fried green tomatoes were disappointing. Too much squishy breading and not crispy at all. Very oily.

This place is wonderful! The manager was really nice and helpful. Everything came out really fast, which was great because I was eating with my husband on his lunch break. Their name says it all. The Fried Green Tomatos were the best I have ever had! The chicken was moist and flavorful. But I think my favorite was the steamed cabbage! Everything tasted like grandma’s home cooking! Definitely a soul food gem. I would go back anytime!

BUT the fried okra…. delicious.

Experience here was fine. I kinda thought the prices were a little steep. Anyway, I ordered the fried chicken which was a good sized chicken breast. I felt that it needed more seasoning. Mashed potatoes and green beans were decent. The atmosphere in this place was good and relaxing. I don’t know if this place is related to the one in Montgomery which is buffet style . This place is meat snd 3 where choose ur meat, vegetables and drink upon ordering. Service was fast and meal hot, just no food to scream about.

Regarding our recent dining experience, we regret to express our disappointment. We visited your establishment to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately, the meal did not meet our expectations. Specifically, the fried pork chop with collard greens and mac and cheese, as well as the chicken liver with rice, green tomatoes, and mac and cheese, lacked seasoning. The mac and cheese was particularly bland and appeared watered down. Furthermore, the grilled items were not satisfactory. While the lemonade was enjoyable, the overall quality of the food was subpar. We appreciate the excellent service provided by the cashier. However, due to the food quality, we are unlikely to return.

So I must say if it wasn’t for the cooks flavoring the vegetables it would be hospital food at its best. But the name and the product of the name is absolutely wonderful. I should have ordered just those with the house sauce it comes with. Other than that, it is better in taste and health than a And I must stress up the portion amount of the veggies.

Good food but not the greatest. I had the country fried steak and it was swimming in brown gravy before being served. Fried green tomatoes were good with a flour crust as well as the okra. Wife had the chicken pot pie and said it was tasty.
