They were very busy but did their best to get food to table fast.
The Spicy chicken was awesome but it should have been less oily.

Placed an online order to “save time”. Still had to wait 20+ minutes after arriving for what is supposed to be “fast food”. And the worst part is that when I simply wanted to know what was going on with my order and how much longer it would take I was met with a rude attitude from the staff, like I was wrong for asking after I had been waiting so long. All they could say was “Do YoU sEE aNy CHickEn? We DoNt HavE CHickEn!!” Terrible service and people skills overall.

I want to take a moment to share my experience at the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen inside the TA TravelCenters-TA-Petro in Whitsett, NC.
I’ve been here for 3 days waiting on a rescheduled load, and during that time I set up in the guest dining area with my laptop and phone, making it my temporary “home base.” Each day, Jessica went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of.
She treated me with genuine kindness, respect, and hospitality—always pleasant, always professional, and truly a bright spot in what could have been a very frustrating situation. Her attitude and care made my stay here so much more bearable.
Employees like Jessica are the heart of a company. She represents Popeyes and TA/Petro with excellence, and I sincerely hope she gets the recognition she deserves. Companies should do everything they can to keep people like her, because she makes customers feel valued and welcomed.
I won’t forget this experience, and I’ll always be grateful for how she made a difficult few days so much easier.

The quality of the food is good. The speed of the service, especially for bigger orders, can be painfully slow. The staff are nice, and can be friendly if you don’t lose your cool waiting, they’re just minimally staffed which is not the fault of the employees that ARE working. As for the atmosphere, it’s in a truck stop – it feels dirty even when it’s definitely clean. Order ahead on the app and expect it to take a couple of minutes longer than the expected time, and you’ll be content.
Update: Reduced from 4 stars to 3. Make sure to check that your order is correct before you leave. I’ve had them miss parts of my order a few times in a row, and they’ve also tried to give me something other than what I ordered a couple of times.

Being a truck driver it’s just way simpler to order while still in the truck and doing what I need to before I get on inside the store. While gaining reward points. Which by then my order has always been ready when I’m ready.
The workers there have also been super great and have done more enough for me. I appreciate their kindness and care they take with my items.

Spend almost $50 on a meal and this is all you’re going to get for condiments. This is very sad I should not have to beg or barter to complete my meal.And if people don’t know how to serve you the company needs to have a set amount that you receive given the order you placed.
