They’re usually great, but I was really disappointed with tonight’s service. I had guests over and couldn’t come back right away, which made the situation even more frustrating.
I paid an upcharge for extra chicken breasts and placed a custom order, but it was completely wrong. I ordered 7 breasts and received only 3. I also specifically ordered 0 wings, yet my order included several wings instead. (See photos.)
While waiting for my to-go order, I noticed other customers having issues as well — one order was missing biscuits, another was missing coleslaw. It wasn’t even busy at the time — just one table dining in and about 4–5 to-go orders.
My kids love this place and we order here often. The chicken is always good, but accuracy has been an issue. I’d strongly recommend checking your order before leaving to make sure everything is correct.
Edit: Went back again today and explained the situation to the manager. Showed him the pictures and the receipt and he made it right by giving me the missing chicken breasts. Thanks so much! Still recommend visitors check their order to make sure it’s accurate so they don’t have to return.

Needed to grab dinner after attending a football game at the local high school. Saw that Popeyes sign, and my son started singing “love that chicken from Popeyes!” The store was clean, restroom was well maintained and fully stocked. The employees were VERY friendly, helpful and polite. We placed our order, and within a few minutes our plates were ready. The chicken was hot, fresh and delicious! To our surprise, the store was closing and the restaurant employees were so patience that they waited for us to finish eating before closing the doors for the night. One particular employee, Dayana was SO the BEST for the way she took our order and gave us the best service. I would rank the entire visit 1000/10 on all levels. Thanks, Dayana!

No, I don’t know what you call quality but this is not look appetizing now I come to this location a bunch of times and I find it so incredible weird that you have six people including two guys wearing gray shirts that obviously don’t know how to work in a fast paced I don’t know if they were managers, but you gotta get rid of them. One of the guys wearing a gray shirt, was just walking around like if he didn’t know what to do instead of jumping in and helping out I work in the restaurant industry and I’m also a general manager at one of the busiest restaurants in Washington DC and this is not how you operate. There’s a Spanish girl that works in the morning Monday through Friday that I used to see her, but I haven’t been coming that often and even she has everything fast. And organized. The guy in the gray the tall one I saw him when he stuffed the biscuit inside the box and I even told the cashier if this is how you sell your food I don’t want this food. Now the cashier was incredibly nice great worker but there’s no communication. I don’t hear anyone talking. How are you going to work and get everything straightened out properly if no one‘s even communicating with each other now like I said, I’ve been coming to Popeyes, especially this location for a long time and I’m very disappointed today that it has failed me for the first time very unfortunate Popeyes

The food here can be good, but I’ve also gotten sick from it. The service is absolutely awful!!! Unbelievably slow! I have waited up to 30 minutes to get my food. Ordering ahead on the app? Forget it, it’s meaningless because it is almost never ready when I arrive and I end up just standing around for a long time with everyone else. The worst part? They do not care! They absolutely do not care at all and there is no pressure on them at all to serve their customers with respect. I think they even enjoy that they keep their customers waiting. Such an attitude problem here. I will never ever again go to this stupid location.

This is the best Popeyes in the area.
Springfield proper in the heart of central Springfield had a great Popeyes in the shopping center. Then it built an impressive looking stand-alone building and moved out of the shopping center. The people who run the new Popeyes are cheating the customer and the company. They are saving money on the seasoned flower that they are contracted to buy from Popeyes supply houses by failing to properly use enough of it to bread the chicken. A plate costing above $20 consisted of dry rubbery chicken tenders which I observed the manager scrape out from the very bottom of the drawer. It was just about the only chicken left in the drawer at noon on a weekday–not late at night when they were getting ready to close. The plate included several dried up french fries which the manager carelessly scooped up along with the chicken. I did not order french fries and french fries were clearly not meant to be carelessly scooped up into the plate of dry, rubbery, inadequately breaded chicken. The entire plate was dry, rubbery, and missing the requisite breading needed for anything approaching acceptable chicken tenders! Whatever you do, don’t go to the Popeyes at 700 Bland Street (across from the parking lot of Springfield Plaza in the heart of central Springfield).
Instead go to THIS Popeyes at 9581 Braddock Road. THIS Popeyes is perfect and the exact opposite of the Popeyes in central Springfield. The managers are all friendly and never cheat on the flower or the temperature of the food. The chicken is always meaty and juicy and never left sitting too long; it’s never dried out.

We ordered around 9pm waiting for food but receive our food at 9:50pm. They took forever to make the chicken. The cashier lady was nice and gave us complementary drinks and biscuits.

I want to give a huge shoutout to the Popeyes in Braddock! Every time I go there, the staff are always so nice, helpful, and very accommodating. It’s a complete difference compared to the Rolling Rd location near us, where we unfortunately stopped going because of repeated issues. The Braddock team truly makes the experience enjoyable and worth the trip—I’d rather drive a little farther and be treated kindly. Thank you for the great service and delicious food!
