If Google had the option to give this restaurant, a ZERO star rating, they absolutely deserve that!

When pulling up into the drive-through, there was one car At the window and one car ordering in front of me, after pulling up to the speaker and telling them my complete order. They did not tell me my total they proceeded to tell me that they’re register just went down and we would have to come inside to place the order, While I was simultaneously watching them hand the bag out to the customer that was in line in front of me.

I had three children in the car and my wife is pregnant. I asked them why they could not take the wireless headset and walk to the register that they wanted me to come in and place the order at. Instead of simply walking to the other register, they Lost a customer.

I placed an online order before closing time. Popeyes clearly lists 11 PM as the closing hour or “later” as they have a paper posted by their window. We arrived at 10:30 PM, completely within posted business hours.

We pull up to the speaker and an employee is standing right there. The moment he sees our truck, he literally RUNS AWAY TO HIDE. No greeting. No explanation. Just hides!!

We circle the building and even honk just to get someone to acknowledge us. Finally the manager storms to the window with a full attitude, immediately snapping:
“We’re closed! I’m the manager and I can close whenever I want.”

But then she exposes herself by saying:
“If it’s the online order for Rosa, we only have cheesecake.”

So let’s be clear:
• She KNEW my name.
• She KNEW my order.
• She SAW it on her screen.
• Her employee ran and HID to avoid helping.
• Multiple employees were inside, lights on, equipment running.
• And somehow, the store is “closed.”

If the store was “closed,” why are online orders still being pulled up? Why is staff hiding instead of communicating? Why is a manager scrolling through my order but refusing service?

What were they doing — milking the clock? Closing early and hoping no one would show up? Avoiding customers with paid orders waiting?

Rather than apologize or offer a solution, she argued with my husband and acted like we were the inconvenience. When I said we were ignored at the speaker, she doubled down on the attitude.

And then, the cherry on top:
She tells me, “You can cancel it online.”
Except that’s not true. The app won’t let you cancel, you can only request a refund through Popeyes app.

So not only were we ignored, lied to, and dismissed… we were also expected to deal with the refund process ourselves after THEIR staff hid and refused to fulfill the order.

This is a serious management problem. Corporate needs to look into:
Employees hiding from customers at the speaker
A “MANAGER” who believes she can close “whenever she wants”
Staff ignoring paid online orders
A complete lack of professionalism
Customers being told misinformation about cancellations

This was easily one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful experiences I’ve ever had at ANY restaurant especially from a so called “manager.”
Corporate needs to seriously investigate this manager’s conduct. Her behavior shows a complete disregard for company policy, customer service, and basic honesty.

Its been on at least 3 occasions when I go around 8:00pm and there is no white meat chicken. How is this a chicken restaurant with no white meat. The option to wait until it’s cooked is NEVER offered. The restaurant doesn’t close until 11:00 pm there is no reason why white meat is not available. Calvert county didn’t wait this many years to finally get a Popeyes and for us to be this unsatisfied. Do better!

Waited 30 minutes for our food, ended up forgetting my mom’s chicken sandwich, asked them to bring it out to us. They finally bring it out. Should’ve checked before leaving because when we got home. They literally but chicken tenders on the sandwich. It looked like a sloppy mess. On top of waiting for 30 minutes for a sloppy sandwich all of the food was cold. I went on 1/9/26 I ordered 2 piece dark with Cole slaw meal. First I went to fountain for my drink no drinks had syrup I ask guy behind counter if he could get me coke from drive threw no coke syrup tried HC no flavor i decided to just get water. Go sit down open my box I have 2 legs not leg and thigh. I take back to counter and I ask for dark which is leg and thigh. I was told at that time, they had no thighs, but that was not told to me when I placed my order. If I had went home I would’ve been pissed off. They just threw two chicken legs in a box. The girl that served me turned around and said what’s the problem with an attitude and I said you gave me two chicken legs. I’m supposed to have two piece with leg and thigh. Why would I pay $10 for two small chicken legs. The manager on duty, I said to her, please give me my money back and they gave me a refund. I will never return to this Popeyes ever again.

The regular chicken was good, but the wings were so-so. The sweet&spicy sauce was more like sweet & sour sauce from a Chinese restaurant. The sauce was also very sticky. The dining room needed some attention, but we found a clean table. The kitchen staff were friendly and helpful. A decent visit to Popeyes..

Employees have a bad attitude. They have items listed on the menu then tell you that can only be ordered with a meal but yet it is listed as an individual item. Popeyes corporate number has no one you can actually speak with just chat. Popeyes please pay your employees more than minimum wage maybe they would be happier to work.

My husband got sick after eating one of your fish sandwichs.Then when I call to tell them the GM or the manager gave me an attitude about calling. Plus if the food is made to order they should tell you that ahead of time.

Manager is extremely rude, won’t make eye contact with you, won’t acknowledge you but instead just walk off grab what u need and put it on the counter. I asked for a sauce, paid for it, and what i was handed was a rub, I asked for the sauce again and she proceeded to give a nasty attitude and storm off and grab the sauce.

First and foremost, please forgive me for pulling into your drive thru at 2pm to place an order, I apologize for disturbing you. Got tender combo, fries were cold and all stuck together, chicken tenders were dry and hard to chew. First time and last time I visit this location.
