I’ve been coming here for take-out for 20 years. The service is usually polite and efficient, and the food is good. Sometimes they mix up my order and give me mild chicken instead of the spicy I ordered (which I won’t know until I get it home), but it still tastes good, so I don’t complain.

I was a little apprehensive about coming here due to the surrounding area in general, but glad I did decide to go. I been to many Popeyes locations and most can have mixed reviews but mostly negative experiences. I was very surprised by this location, as I have now been there over a dozen times and had a great experience both inside and at tbe drive through. Staff have always been kind and polite toward me and other customers as well. On my first visit I had grabbed the wrong coupon, and the cashier was nice to honor the order with the discount anyway. I thought that was so nice and she clearly didn’t have to do it. The waiting and dining area are well kepted and clean as well. All in all I highly recommend paying them a visit when you in the mood for some chicken.

Stopped in store for a late night dinner pick up. About an hour or so before closing and not sure what to expect. I can tell you that I have not had Popeyes this fresh in quite some time. We ordered a family meal (mix chicken, 2 sides, biscuits) and EVERYTHING was hot and fresh! The staff that helped us was friendly and everyone seemed to be working great together. The seating area was very clean and well lit. Where they were preparing our food was uncluttered and well maintained. Our order was ready in no time and served hot and fresh. 🙂 we will definitely be back for another visit! I can confidently suggest this location after my experience there.

The service was bad as the person who bagged our food. They did everything wrong and gave out the wrong food. We asked for garlic pam wings , but we got regular wings. They also gave the wrong sandwich. We asked for ghost pepper, but they gave us the wrong sandwich. This happened to us before. When we asked for dark meat , the person packed our meals gave us white meat and was rude. She was asking why didn’t u come earlier . But the person who packed our food and gave us the dark meat, I just want to say thank u my guy and you are really nice and welcoming.

I’ve been going to this place for over 20 years so when Popeyes started the $6 box meal, I was happy to get it but when I get there, the manager says that I will be charged more because I asks for two thighs which is my preference.

The $6 box meal promotion doesn’t say anywhere that the chicken has to be a mix of wings, thighs or legs. The manager insists that she will charge me extra for two thighs. I mean, it’s
not really a big deal to me that I have to pay a little more but what bothers me is the manager. She is just a hater, you can see it in her body language. I have seen this site go through the staff ups and downs so I guess this place is currently on the down side.

I dont like this location. There is one particular black woman with thick false eyelashes who is so immature and rude. She rolls her eyes and laughs at customers. I dont understand why she still is allowed to work there. The other employees look like they try to avoid her as much as possible. I used to enjoy sitting and eating at this restaurant before she worked there but now I rarely go there. I’d rather go somewhere else farther away where the employees are much nicer! The food there is ok for the most part. Every once in a while when they get busy they rush the chicken and it tastes halfway done but most of the time its ok.

Beyond frustrating experience with this location. I ordered through the app and selected that I wanted a custom mix for a 4 piece combo. Should be simple right? Wrong. It didn’t give me the option to make the customizations in the app, so I assumed I would be asked at the window. When I gave the name for my order I then said, “Also, can I have 4 wings for the 4 piece?” The young lady stated no I couldn’t as the order had already been made. I inquired how it could have already been made if I asked for a custom mix in the app and was immediately met with “I’m getting the manager”. I said okay? Because I was truly confused as to why the manager was being summoned simply because I asked one question. Someone else, who I’m assuming was the manager gets on and without asking me anything says “Yea you want to make changes and we can’t do that”. I said ma’am I’m not asking to make any changes, I simply asked how the order could be made already if I asked for a custom mix. The manager again said “You’re asking us to make changes if you want 4 wings instead” I said okay, this isn’t going to get anywhere if the manager was immediately hostile in my head, but out loud I said “Okay, if 4 wings is not possible, I would like a refund for the 4 peice”. The manager says “You gotta request that through the app”. I was immediately flabbergasted so I said “Ma’am I’m going to pull around to the window”. Again, true confusion on my end. I’m genuinely baffled how something so simple has escalated to this. As soon as I pulled up to the window the manager (I guess she was the manager, she had a different color shirt) said “Do you want the food or not?” Again, immediately hostile. There was no one else in the drive thru. I said ma’am I’m simply trying to figure out how, if I selected a custom order, is the food already made and you’re stating that you can’t do anything? She states that it’s a 3rd party app. (I used the Popeyes app) She then closes the window as I attempt to rectify if through the app. No apology, no anything, just closed the window and walked away. A different young lady comes back and says “Do you want the food or not? There’s another car coming.” I looked up and realized that there was another car placing an order and I apologized to the young lady and let her know I was frustrated with the situation, not with her. I then went inside. The same manager approaches the counter (never acknowledging the situation) and I said can I just have my order please? As it was obvious there would be no resolution. She then handed me the food. There was NEVER an apology. No attempt to come to a common ground, nothing but attitude from the supposed manager. She was young and may be inexperienced but there was a way to handle that situation and it was fumbled from the beginning. A simple apology would have went a long way. I know from many years in customer service that the customer is not always right. I could have accepted a reasonable response, but everyone was immediately on the defensive and escalated a situation that could have all been so simple.

The cashier is unprofessional. Disrespectful shouldn’t be working in customer service if you’re mad about your Job then find another job. Customer shouldn’t have to deal with that kind of attitude. Let me explain….
Me and my eight-year-old child came in for a lunch date after a doctors appointment. My child wanted chicken, french fries mashed potatoes and biscuits. I was in a mood for the same thing when approaching the cashier who happens to be the Spanish lady in the black hoodie, she asked me What did I like to order I replied with letting her know what me and my child wanted something with french fries chicken biscuits and mashed potatoes for two. She offered a combo that was enough for two .after I get my food with disappointment of the portion. I gently go back up to the front And bring my concern to the cashier that convinced me for that Combo .she instantly started getting hostile . she proceeded to state’ if you already knew what you wanted ,Why didn’t you look at the Menu? My Son plus 10 other customers seen The cashier go off like I stole something from her instead of trying to find reason in my concern she decided to take initiative into talking crap instead of helping. She decide to raise her tone and disrespect me .then the Manager step in thank god ! The Manager proceeded to tell the cashier to go in the back because she couldn’t stop being disrespectful . When she goes back, I continue to apologize to the manager because Like I stated, my only concern was feeding me and my child. I come here to frequently, which I actually remember the Manager. She’s a great manager how she handled the situation. She found a deal that Popeyes was promoting for two and replaced my meal for that order. Thank you so much, Manager. ❤️. After the incident, I sit down with my child to eat, and all I can see is the spanish lady in the black hoodie staring me down.
I understand working at a restaurant or fast food place is difficult at times, but if you’re not qualified for the position, don’t take the job. Customers are not at fault for your frustrations or personal feelings. This is the Popeyes on Route 13 Newcastle Delaware
