I ordered chicken from Popeyes, but when I opened it, the inside did not look fully cooked. The meat appeared raw in the center, which was very concerning and made it unsafe to eat. I had to throw the food away. Food safety is extremely important, and this experience was disappointing. I hope this location pays more attention to proper cooking and quality control.

My experience at Popeyes – Linden, NJ (WARNING)
I went to the Popeyes in Linden, NJ and ordered two chicken meals for me and my daughter.
When the food came out, the fries were cold, and my meal was wrong. I paid for a breast and a leg, but that’s not what I got. I went back to the cashier to have it fixed while my daughter sat down to eat.
Seconds later I hear, “Mom, mom!”
I run over to her and she had already taken a bite of a HALF-COOKED CHICKEN LEG.
The chicken was still red and bloody
That is dangerous and unacceptable, especially for a child.
Their response?
They had the nerve to say they would “make a new one.”
HELL NO.
I told them to give me my money back, which they did.
While I’m sitting there waiting for my Uber, they had the audacity to send the same cashier back over to me asking, “What are you waiting on?”
I asked her, “Who told you to ask me that?”
She said, “They did.”
My response: Tell them to stop clocking me.
Raw food, no real apology, and then you’re questioning why I’m still there? Crazy.
This place looks nice when you walk in — all show and glitz — but don’t be fooled.
RAW CHICKEN = FOOD POISONING RISK
Especially dangerous for kids
I will never go back to this location.
Be aware unless you want food poisoning.

FRAUDULENT MANAGEMENT! I’m extremely disappointed with the service and treatment I’ve received — not just once, but repeatedly — at this Popeyes location.
During my most recent visit, I ordered the $6 Big Box and specifically asked for a thigh and a breast. The employee at the window told me that choosing a breast would be an upcharge of $1.25 and convinced me to proceed. However, when I received my receipt, it showed “classic wing” and “classic breast” with no upcharge listed — and I was given two thighs instead of what I ordered.
When I tried to address this, the manager was extremely rude, said she was too busy to help, slammed the drive-thru window in my face, and then locked it to avoid the conversation. That’s completely unacceptable behavior for anyone representing a major brand like Popeyes.
To make matters worse, when I contacted corporate about the issue, I was told that they would only “send it to higher-ups for visibility” — with no refund and no resolution. This is not just about one wrong order; it’s about a pattern of dishonesty and a complete lack of accountability.
This isn’t the first time this staff has misled me about upcharges, and I’m genuinely starting to believe they may be pocketing the difference. Between the misleading pricing, incorrect orders, and disrespectful management, it’s clear that this location needs to be investigated and retrained from the top down.
I’ve been a loyal Popeyes customer for years, but this experience has completely changed my view of this particular store. Until corporate takes serious action, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere — and warning others to check their receipts carefully when visiting this location.

In drive through on 1/16/2026 @ 1215pm. The s c reen shows a meal for $20. The associate said they can’t give that to me she does not see how to ring that up. I advised her that wasn’t my issue. I want the meal that I am seeing for $20. Another female voice comes on the line and she is agitated, and said.. if she cant she how to charge you she can’t. So now you have a sign for a meal that is $20 and you telling me i cant get it. Her reply was its a glitch in the system.
