We decided to order delivery and chose Popeyes. The app was easy to navigate. The food was delivered within the time window and still warm. I haven’t had Popeyes in a long time. It was really good. I have thought this before, but have finally confirmed Popeyes is better tasting than the other chicken competitors. Not trying to ruffle anybody’s feathers, just my opinion. The spicy chicken sandwich had lots of flavor. I tried some of the mac & cheese also. Hands-down better then it’s competitors and probably better than any other fast food mac & cheese. I think the little cheese crust on top is what makes the difference. Will definitely order Popeyes sooner after this experience.

I am writing this to alert the public and the health department to a distressing experience at the Popeyes on Newtown Road. I was served a meal containing a long strand of human hair embedded in the food.
When I brought this to the attention of the staff, the lack of professionalism was staggering. My attempt to speak with management was even more discouraging; the leadership appears to be entirely oblivious to basic food safety protocols and professional conflict resolution. It is a fundamental rule in food service that if management is ineffective, the standards of the entire establishment suffer.
This was a traumatizing and unhygienic experience. Based on the dismissive attitude I encountered, I have no confidence that proper cleanliness procedures or hair restraint policies are being followed in that kitchen. A formal health inspection is absolutely necessary. Please be extremely cautious if you choose to eat here, it is clear the staff and management could not care less about consumer safety

I ordered the boneless chicken wings with sweet and sour sauce and had side orders of mashed potato with sodas. Everything was very good . The only problem was the place needs to be cleaned much better, didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a while.

Had to tried the ghost pepper wings since they had an offer on their app, which was great. The eating area tho is kinda dirty, all tables needed some cleaning and I get being understaffed but they had so many people in the back cooking and no one out there making sure place is at least descent. And there were flies which grosses me out so I got out quicker then expected. They had one main girl taking and having all orders ready while maybe 5 people cooking, they need a better system but overall the food was good. I think I’ll stick to drive thru from now on

I am ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED with the level of customer service my family received tonight on 11/22/25 at approximately 9:30 PM. The experience was unacceptable from start to finish and it needs to be documented in full.
We pulled up to the drive thru speaker and attempted to explain to the young lady that we had a coupon in the app. We made it clear that we were prepared to place a ten dollar order to apply it. She was not understanding anything we were trying to say so we drove forward to the window as instructed. At the window she told us that the only way to use the coupon was to order online. Fine. We had cash. We let it go.
We also had a welcome free side reward. We scanned the app for it. Instead of simply honoring the reward she stated a price. We explained again that the coupon was already loaded. She repeated the price as if she did not hear a word we said. At that point we told her never mind. We just wanted to order the wings and move on.
Then she made the situation even worse. The same young woman who told us to come to the window told me that I could not order at the window and that I needed to drive all the way back around to the speaker because they are on a timer. The lack of communication, the complete disregard for what we were saying, and the inconsistency in her instructions were beyond frustrating.
This was not a misunderstanding. This was poor training, no accountability, and zero professionalism. I left that location feeling disrespected, unheard, and genuinely disgusted that a simple order turned into this level of inconvenience. I expect this to be addressed immediately.

Second time I’ve ever been to this restaurant ever and now both trips were awful. They use very deceptive sales tactics. For example in normal font it says “combo meal” comes with 2 sides and biscuit. Turns out this is not true for sandwiches and you are not paying less either. She goes it’s in small print. I said, interesting move in 2025. The first time I came here a few months ago they forgot the Mac and Cheese that I had to actually pay extra money to even get despite the meal coming with two sides. Apparently that is an up charge for the noodles. One single meal cost me almost $20. It came with the smallest portions of Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. One single sandwich w/ a fountain drink. For context this same meal elsewhere even in a sit down restaurant would never be more than 14 bucks and you’d get FAR more food. I feel like I just got robbed. They did not comp my Mac and cheese today that they forgot that I paid for on my first visit. She said, nothing as I explained that the manager from my first visit told me to tell them when I came in again to comp it. She looks at me and does nothing/says nothing. Charges full price. This place is absurd. The food is subpar nothing special at all. The sides are literally cold and to think I paid all this money for two bites and cold food. The sandwich is very good I’ll say that, but it isn’t worth the price and what you get. Go to KFC, Boston Market, and literally anywhere else you will get far more.

The chicken sizes were very small. My order was mixed up, even after repeating my order more than once. Really disappointed. I am use to Popeyes in my home country to be way better. They really need to work on the chicken portion.

I stopped in to Popeyes for lunch and tried the classic chicken sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich. I’ll say that it’s the best fast food chicken sandwiches of all the other alternatives. Service at this store on Newtown Road in Danbury Connecticut was fast and efficient. The restaurant was clean. The chicken sandwich with tax was just about five dollars and change. I’d say that’s a good deal and it wasn’t just a tiny little piece of chicken.

Finally tried the famous Rojo chicken sandwich! It was delicious! The staff here were super friendly. My wife and I were just passing thru on our way back home and needed some lunch. The food was great! The bathrooms and restaurant were clean.

Check your bag before leaving the drive thru! Paid $30 for 2 meals, get home and realized my sandwich was missing. Too hungry to suffer the 40min round trip to fix it, so the soggy fries will have to be a side for something in my cabinet I guess
