I ordered online for pick up. I got to the drive through the speaker said they were closed. I drove up to the window because it says they are still open. The lady told me to go to the speaker and I told her it said it’s closed. She proceeded to tell me to wait 7 minutes and I am fine with that and proceed to the parking lot. I go back after 10 minutes and she said to wait again and I do. I got my food and got home, I bit into the chicken and it’s pink. How can you serve something like this to a customer. I paid to get food and I get this. SMH Popeyes

I went in and waited about 35 minutes. I watched employees who wore dirty uniforms and a manager all rude and held up multiple order looking for one online order. When getting my food its was packaged horribly
Fries weren’t even full.
The large mashed potatoes was at half of the container and not even full
Same for my large rice and beans it’s was about half the container. Also I got mostly beans. I prefer it to be even and full to the top of the container.
The tenders were very small and mostly batter. Definitely should be bigger i would call them chicken strips
I didn’t even receive the sauce I requested
My biscuits had no butter and weren’t even fully baked.
I also didn’t get utensils or napkins
I’m very disappointed because I love Popeyes and this one is closer to me now. I don’t plan on going back.

They get 1 star because I cant put zero. The women who work at night are absolutely the rudest fast food servers ive ever delt with. Rush you from the speaker to the window without completing your order then when you tell them your not done ordering they say they have no more food. So is their policy only one meal at a time.

Horrible !! What happen to this location ?? Cole slaw was slimy I ask her for a new one she said they were all like that! Replaced it for a mc and cheese burnt! ♀️the biscuits were dry and old and I came around lunch time! They never have hunny… not coming back again

Warning: Although the manager isn’t friendly and rude the staff does not merit a bad review. Instead I just stopped coming here and I went to the other chicken place.
Sure the $6 meal is back and it’s delicious, it is not worth it if they forget to pack the fries or a side dish. That’s what happened to me and since I was stopping by there daily or every other day I did not care.
The next time I went I asked for Jose who is the one who helped me most of the week. He wasn’t there. Jasmine was working and she knew I was a regular customer. She did not pack my order, so she asked the manager.
When the manager (short lady with black hair) came to me she questioned me as if I was trying to scam Popeyes. I told her Jose had missed putting my fries and told her I was a regular customer. She agreed to let me have the fries I was owed but it came with an attitude and trying to belittle me.
I encourage you to open your box and make sure to double check your order before you leave. No matter how nice Jose and Jasmin are they only hand you the meal.
I have had nothing but great experiences at the red and white chicken place for $1 less.

Last night 11:00 pm 12/26/25, yet another night leaving this location with a box full of bad un marinated, old , flower not sifted, hard ,tasteless , dry chicken This place, has the absolute wrong people for the product they are trying to sell! By tasting their chicken they continuously skip key Popeyes Louisiana processes. 12 hour marinating , stirring their chicken, throwing the old chicken out!!! All I have to do is taste the skin and I can pin point accurately analyze! I worked at Popeye when it was once very passionate about the product instead of selling more chicken. I was a Popeyes Expert fryer, management,SEASONING, PERSON, and I actually baked the biscuits when they didn’t come out the freezer! This location and the Kimberly Ave just wanna sell chicken no matter what it taste like as long as it’s fried! And those that don’t know what Popeyes is supposed to taste like should experience the way it’s done in the southern states! It has certainly left the greater New Haven area for sure! I keep going back though, thinking they just might’ve hired the right passionate manager that cares…… But to no avail! But if you never experienced Popeyes done right to speck consistently, you will never understand the passion behind this review!

Came in on feb 2nd 2026 at 1:50 pm. Went inside to to order and the lady at the register sat on her for a few minutes. As i made signs that was ready to order. She then went into a phone call while moving around still not acknowledging me for a few more minutes. Finally while still on the phone she asked what i wanted and as i began to tell her she visibly stopped listening to respond to the person on the phone. Very rude and unprofessional, i walked out and will not go to this one again. Better off going to kfc up the road

I haven’t been to Popeyes in a long time. I wanted some chicken wings and so did my mom. I traveled from East Haven to New Haven to get Popeyes. When I pulled up to the monitor I was committed about 2 minutes later. Someone said will you be using the app today I said no. Then I said hello because it went silent. I placed my order and it was rushed as if I could only purchase one menu item. I remain calm and friendly. I pulled up to the window to pay and I was greeted by the manager I believe she told me the total. I handed her my card. She walked away she never said hi nor did she smile. She gave me my card and receipt then my food and something told me to check the bag. I had ordered two fries and only received one. I told her once I got her attention because she just kept walking past the window as if I wasn’t there. She came back over and said my timer is running out and I said but I did not receive my fries she told me they were in the bag and they were not. She asked for the bag back I handed it to her and she took it over to the fries and put fries in the bag then gave it back to me. I thought you’re supposed to create another bag and put what’s missing in the new bag. Not take something through the window and add to it.
That point I didn’t really care about her timer running out I knew it was but she kept walking past me as if I wasn’t sitting there. Her demeanor is horrible for a manager and something needs to be done. I will not be returning there while she is working there.
Other than that my chicken wings were great.

The woman manager at this location has nastiest attitude I’ve ever encountered. I came to this location despite knowing she has the poorest customer service. every time I’ve came to this location for food it’s either cold, old or I had to wait over 45 minutes for food that isn’t even fresh. today I came and ordered two cheese curds out of the fryer, and the 9 dollar special for the 5 pieces of chicken. I am going to upload a photo of what I’ve received. I paid 18 dollars for grease spackled cheese chords and 4 legs and a thigh. The woman came to the window and took the payment and asked for me to park. I know for a fact cheese does not fry for no longer than 2 minutes and 30 seconds. After being behind three cars. Approaching the window the food should’ve been ready to my knowledge. Instead she tried to tell me to park. I told her I’ll wait at the window. She closed the window and took a picture of my car. came back to the window telling me to park and I was confused because I’m certain at this point the cheese curds should’ve been done. she closed the window again. At this point I’ve been waiting for about 10 minutes, just from being behind waiting cars prior to getting to the window. She came to the window again and I asked her where’s my food. She got down on her arms like a baby and there’s no food, you get no food, there won’t be any food. So I said that’s fine you can refund my money. Truthfully I don’t like coming to this location because of lack of integrity and respect for her self. I’ve only gotten some of the worse service from this Popeyes. Ive once waited over 30 minutes for chicken that was still cold after receiving it sadly. I wish that was a lot because it’s not. after this woman gave me the run around, she gives me the food and said I took a picture of your car I contact the police do not come back here. It’s sad because I avoid this location for the most part because of her customer service. I rather drive to Hartford Connecticut to buy Popeyes before I comeback this location. this woman is representing Popeyes so poorly it’s ashame. The man taking my order barely spoke any English and it was very difficult to even place such a simple order and I’m not prejudice. please allow for the district manager to reach me, as this service was so poor it needs to be addressed from all ends
Edit- will someone be offering me a refund ? . The cheese curds were overcooked and sopped in grease, then the chicken was old. My purchase was not worth it at all

They are trash every time I order through DoorDash they leave something out slow down and figure out what’s going on so quick to rush and concerned about drive thru timer rather than the accuracy of the order chicken is barley cooked and it’s always night shift yall managers need to do better I get everyone’s tired but at the end of the day a job is a job even whalley is better than this and that’s saying something. Then they threw in extra ranch to make up for not putting in the sides how does that match .
