The gentleman at the drive through was very unprofessional and Act like he didn’t want to be at work. He didn’t want to honor a deal. That was 12 wings for $12 being advertised on the app. And also on the app, you can order white meat for the $5 3 piece deal which he also did not honor. He said that he doesn’t use the app. When I asked him for ranch sauce for my snack wraps , he didn’t want to come back to the window. My snack wraps were cold, and when I opened them, I found them like this: wilted lettuce, barely no cheese. When I asked him pacifically, was there cheese on these snack wraps and the 2 pickles looked like they were just thrown in on the top.

Newly reopened and the food was excellent. However the service was unbelievably poor. Just about no English spoken or understood by the employees. The menu board only showed a very few things and the staffers appeared completely unaware and unconcerned that all that was shown were the wing specials. Two of our sides were forgotten and we had to go back and ask for them. Just a bad experience with the service all around. The north haven store is cleaner and the staff is much more pleasant. Sad to say but if this level of service continues they’ll be closing up very soon.

First I would like to say that my father and I go to many popeyes throughout the area.New britain hartford meridan wallingford . We have never been treated as poorly as we were yesterday From the woman behind the counter.. my dad and I went there with a coupon for 5 pieces of chicken.. Ten dollars and ninety nine cents.. When my father presented the coupon and just asked the woman to please make sure that the legs had meat on them. And to please make sure they weren’t real skinny, she came back with an attitude.I could not believe she says you don’t get what you want. You get what we give you!!!! I couldn’t believe it.And first of all, we wanted what was real close to what was on the picture. More importantly her attitude was terrible. Everybody’s entitled to a bad day. I suppose, but she was real nice to the lady in front of us and to the staff behind her. No, excuse. And I guess not that it matters to some people, but it does to me. My dad, who is 91 years old, wore his Korean war Veteran hat.. i am an air force Veteran,as well.. my dad does not deserve to be treated like that..Ever.. For any reason. I’ve been in the customer service industry for many, many years.Over forty years.. if any of my sales help treated customers like we were treated. I would first.
Retrain them then if that didn’t work, I would look for other people because in this day and age, there is a lot competition that would appreciate our business. And to be honest, we went next door to frankie’s and had a good meal with some very nice people. But again, our first choice was popeye’s. Unfortunately.
Our experience was absolutely terrible….and Insulting !!!

My boyfriend and I were so excited for the Wallingford location to reopen, but that excitement didn’t last long. The service here is absolutely terrible. Ordering at the drive through feels like an act of Congress. The employees that work the drive through never get your order right, even if you repeat it to them over and over. When you ask them to fix your order, they roll their eyes and give you attitude. The first time we went they had just opened so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. At this point, I’d rather drive the extra 15 minutes to the Meriden location.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Popeyes in Wallingford. I placed my order and waited over 30 minutes for my food. When I finally went to pick it up, the employee threw the bag onto the counter/chair instead of handing it to me.

Both of the ladies working the drive-through had extremely nasty attitudes. They ignored my questions, didn’t communicate at all, and spent most of the time laughing at customers instead of providing basic customer service.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had at any fast-food restaurant. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the behavior.

Honestly I was hoping I wouldnt have to come to do a terrible review on Wallingford’s popeyes, but here we are. There service is absolutely atrocious and the food tasted old as if it was sitting there for a week straight. I was asked if I actually liked the chicken at popeyes like if I was being judged based on my appearance. Afterwards they forgot 2 things off my order and when I went back, I kindly said “I think you forgot something in my order”. Which the drive through lady working the night shift at 6:00PM (11/2/25) thought it was appropriate to responded back with “do you think or do you know” and when I replied “I know” she responded back in a very rude and unprofessional way that made me feel uncomfortable “next time you should say I know instead of I think” which took me by surprise because I’ve shown nothing but kindness. I felt like she stereotyped based on my appearance and that she considered me illiterate because she wanted me to tell her “I know you forgot stuff in my order” which to me makes no sense, when I was just trying to be kind to her. She then smirked at my face and proceeded to roll her eyes and slam the window infront of my face. I wouldnt recommend coming this popeyes at all especially when reading the other reviews about poor management and poor customer service and nothing changing at all about it save your money and your time and go somewhere else. I wish they would change there crew!

Waited over a year excited for this location to reopen, but unfortunately I will not be coming back. The customer service was abysmal, rude, and unprofessional. I have absolutely no faith in the staff to safely or properly be handling food. Management take notice and correct your hiring process.

I was excited to try this place again now that they reopened, and it was a miserable experience. The drink order was completely wrong, got shorted on the little cheese bites, the fries taste like grease, food was sitting out for what looked like hours, didn’t get my sauces and it was a terrible, terrible experience. Take your time and go out of your way to go to a different Popeyes because this is the only one I’ve had a bad experience at.

I love Popeyes but unfortunately they’re so expensive now. Got a large 3 piece tender meal last night and it was $19. For 3 tenders, 1 biscuit, 1 side, and a drink. RIP Popeyes. Unfortunately I can’t make it a regular thing as much as I’d like…

Wow. Waited this long for them to reopen to a sad 12 dollars for 3 tiny chicken nuggets ?! What happened to popeyes being fast food ?! Go to cheeks chicken and waffles up the road instead. It’s cheaper, larger portions, and you’re supporting local business.
