I always get mediocre service here. I usually get the Original Chicken sandwich and I order it EXTRA MAYO all the time and usually its just the regular amount of mayo so I always ask for additional mayo on the side. They all have the answer” We dont have mayo packets ” to which I respond I would like some extra mayo in a cup or dish( like their small side paper dishes the gravy or coleslaw go in. The mostly Indian staff usually try to play dumb like they dont understand me & its always ” we dont sell mayo” or “we dont have a side of mayo” or we dont have mayo packets. They know exactly what I mean but everyone has the same answer.
I want extra mayo on the side in the small plastic souffle cup so I can put it on my sandwich, hello !!!! They just dont want to run to the kitchen to get a little side dishof 1/2 ounce of mayo.
I always order from the app and go through the Drive Thru and they always tell me to pull up and they’ll deliver it, so they can make their service times. I never have an issue or ” get an attitude” when I go to KFC and their service is much better. Some folks in my household like some things at POPEYES & others like some things at KFC. Maybe they can focus on improving customer service and that would improve sales, KFC is always busy and usually Popeyes is a hit/ miss and just busy at certain times. I like the products at both places so I’d like reasonable service and not get a ” lazy mentality” worker who doesn’t want to get the extra mayo I request. They always end up doing it, just not without a hard time and playing dumb.I spend a good amount of money at this store and I would LIKE to like going there more.

Taste NOTHING like the Popeyes in NYC! VERY VERY Bland with little to NO seasoning! Why is it that cooks in CT can’t season and fry chicken like they do in NYC? Same with the KFC in Ansonia chicken actually taste undercooked No seasoning and almost raw! PLZ get NEW cooks who actually know how to fry and SEASON food!!!

First time there. Only one there. Should be taken that as a sign. The gentleman working the drive through was extremely rude. When I got my food the chicken on my sandwich was literally just breading. The piece of chicken was so thin it was non existent. The fries were cold. Absolutely disgusting. I threw it away. I can definitely tell this place isn’t staying in business much longer. There’s just no way.

November 29th, 2025 Horrible experiences. If I could I would rate this place a zero. These people look so unhappy. I came in with my mom and niece for the very first time. I don’t understand how you don’t have no food at all waited more than 6 minutes. The staff is rude you could be saying thank you and they just stare at you as if your not suppose to be pleasant. I get you have to wait for food but 40 minutes when there’s no line at all.
I see why they have bad ratings I just don’t get how they still in business it’s probably due to the location. Every person who went through the drive thru were able to get their food but they did mentioned to me they ran out of food meaning chicken. I waited close to an hour for food how is that possible when there’s no line except two people who just entered into the drive thru more than 5 minutes. Nobody should have to wait more than 30 minutes busy or not. Spend over $50 unacceptable.
I recommend the Popeyes in Trumbull mall, Milford and orange I would rather make the drive than go somewhere that rude and unprofessional.

I came on a rainy day. As I went through the drive-thru to pick up the order i was told they didn’t have white meat (my husband’s favorite). It would be 12-15 minutes. I said i would wait. I pulled to the front of the store and waited. And waited. There were only 5-6 customers in the time I waited. 25 minutes later they still hadn’t brought my food out! I went back through the drive-thru and got my food. So annoyed.

The worst Popeyes I ever been to. I keep giving them a chance but never again. Every time I go there the food is cold. They never have what you want and they don’t understand what you asking for. This time they gave me a greasy cold sandwich and when I bought it to their attention they microwave a whole sandwich bun and all then gave it to me. Never will I go there again unless they change management.

Got home and love it a little expensive but it was really good love the cole slaw also the chick was really good. The mac and cheese os really good just the large side are not as large it look more like a med lol but overall was excellent. I will go back and try mpre of their selection I saw a banana peanut pie look really good I will try next. The staff that help me was very nice and pleasant no issue did her job she was great love my experience there will go back

Lady at window was very rude. Bad business behavior. I couldn’t understand her because the accent was very strong and she looked at me like I was crazy when I was speaking very clear English and she was very frustrated that I couldn’t understand her. Food was OK. I don’t know if there is new ownership or what but to me this location used to be really good. Hopefully they improve their customer service.

If i could hive a 0 star i would! The lady that took the order was very rude I asked for no mayo on my classic chicken sandwich and they gave it to me plain nothing on it just chicken and bread. The fries were cold we never got biscuits with the meals. Guy that was at the window taking the payment and giving us our food was rude saying here’s your good gave it to me then walked away from the window didn’t say thank you for coming nothing. I will never go back to the Derby CT on Pershing Ave again!

Why does this location have to be so bad and its been like this for years! we always skip it and get kfc because the food is always cold and at times the oil is old. The chicken sandwich is always a miss with the size. huge on one side of the bread and nothing on the other half. Today I wanted to try the chicken wrap and of course it was cold and wrapped all sloppy. Why not just close down this place, has no workers that actually care to serve expensive fast food. Wish I would of taken a pic of the wrap to show that it didn’t come wrapped in Popeyes wrapping it was wrapped in 3 thick pieces of wax paper. Move so that another establishment can use the space.
