We found Popchew completely by coincidence, and what an amazing surprise it was! The smashburger was one of the best I’ve had so far—perfectly seared, juicy, and full of flavor. The fries were crispy, golden, and generously portioned. Their secret sauce is absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with both the burger and the crinkle-cut fries. This place truly delivers a real American-style smashburger experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Good but not great imo. If you’re at this bar or a local getting it delivered it’s great. It’s not really a destination burger you should be travelling in from outside the neighborhood for.

Unexpectedly good smash burger. $6.99 for basic no frills burger with cheese, secret sauce, and pickles. Simplicity at its best but I do wish it as cheaper. That might not exist in NYC anymore though.

The bartender was extremely helpful and offered a refill for our drinks. Hamburger where excellent and the secret sauce very flavorful. First time at this place and wishing to go back sooner.

Unpleasant experience. Noted today was very cold – close to 0 Celsius/32 F. Was windy too. Walked over there from work and ordered burgers and fries, waited for 10, was handed a paper bag that was sealed with staples and said all items are in there. Walked back to the office in ice cold windy weather only to realize they forgot the fries. Walked back over to them, they said to wait for another 5-10. This burger shop has no sit down area, not even an indoor waiting area. Had to basically wait in the wind.
Very unpleasant.
Everybody makes mistakes which is understandable but when you run a small business like this & work in the food and beverage business you really got to be doing it smarter than simple sorry.
I can be understanding but nevertheless categorise this as negative impression for the business.
Me and my colleagues won’t be coming back.

I like the burger here it’s very good. Wish there was dine in option but for this area it’s actually fine. Just take ur burger and go to the park near by which is very close.

First day at the new (and permanent!!!) location and they were very busy when I arrived for pickup but the staff was doing well to keep everything organized.
Burger was great and the fries were amazing! They even survived the cold walk and 4 stops back home on the train!

Half way into my whiskey walk, this was a welcome surprise to walk by. A solid smash burger and definitely worth getting their app. Flavorful side sauce for dipping. I’ll be back for sure.

Some might consider me a burger expert and it’s safe to say this burger is delicious! It’s nicely seasoned, cooked to perfect and topped with an amazing sauce. The fries also were still so crispy when they arrived. Highly recommend checking them out.
