The evening started positively. When I came in looking for menthol salt nics that were out of stock, the employee kindly called the owner (her boyfriend) over the phone to check inventory. He (the owner) generously told her to comp me a non-salt nic product to hold me over until more arrived. I appreciated this gesture so much that I purchased a non-nic salt mod, not wanting to leave empty-handed after receiving such good service.
However, when I returned to my car and tried using the mod, it wouldn’t power on. After charging it for 20 minutes with no success, I returned to the store to explain that I believed it was a dud. I want to be clear: I calmly stated the issue and never demanded a refund or insisted on special treatment. A simple “all sales are final” would have been completely acceptable to me.
After the employee called the owner a second a time, her demeanor changed dramatically. She told me, “I have to sit here now and read the manual because you don’t know how to read”—despite the fact that I had already reviewed it myself. Throughout the interaction, she treated me as though I had done something wrong. She made a sarcastic comment about not knowing sign language, mocking the way I use my hands when speaking. As someone on the autism spectrum with a speech impediment, I rely on hand gestures to communicate, and this was particularly hurtful. She even said, “We tried to do something nice for you, but you do this to us,” as if returning a faulty product was a personal attack.
I only raised my voice once, to say, “You’re going to lose a customer if you keep talking to me like this.”
I eventually received a refund, but the damage was done. I would have much preferred being told politely that refunds weren’t possible rather than being treated with such disrespect. I’ve spent an huge amount at this store over five years on juices, mods, accessories, and CBD oil, but I won’t be returning.
I encourage the owner to review security footage from around 10:18 PM on October 2nd, 2025, to verify my account of what occurred.
I should note that another employee, Donelle(?), was exceptionally kind throughout this situation and is likely the only reason I didn’t leave immediately. This review reflects solely on how I was treated by the employee who handled my return.
Also her basis for being amd and argumentative was completely based on her feelings. Not facts or logic she simply felt things were negative and she literally said so her self and when I asked her to explain herself she said that I said things in a negative way 4 times in the last 5hrs….. not saying anything about herself literally yelling and screaming outside not less then 30min before hand…..
