We were on a foliage drive and decided to stop in The Poor People’ Pub for lunch. They are currently celebrating their 50th year and it was evident by the crowd that they are loved. There was both inside and outside seating. The place is quite large. We were greeted and seated immediately. The prices were really good. We got the cheese steak subs. They were very large, the meat was tender and the bread was excellent. We were pretty stuffed but when we were told the dessert options, we succumbed. The pineapple upside down cake with coconut and caramel sauce was, by itself, worth the drive. The chocolate ice cream sundae was so big and so good. We will absolutely return!

Love the atmosphere of the place! Just know that it’s a self-service location so don’t wait at a table for a server. Go to the counter, place your order, then go to a table and wait for them to bring it out. Food was excellent!

Always great, used to come here in e early 80’s.
Just started going back.
Meatloaf if excellent, better than my own,
Spegetti and Meatballs also excellent and pizza is awesome we are trying to get something different each time still working on that.

The food was good, and the staff was kind. It is off the beaten path in a quaint town, and everyone knows the locals. There were places where I enjoyed the food a little better, but this had a good price point in comparison.

Very good and attentive service despite being quite busy. Low price with a $2 draft PBR and satisfactory food. Nice atmosphere with an energetic loud crowd. Basically, a working class establishment

We ordered they’re delicious wings and hot rolls with butter. We both a bit saddened cuz the wings for $11. (6) They weren’t what they use to be n cooked in old oil, the roll use to be round and soft with a lite sweetness. While these rolls oval small n hard… First experience on our travel to Kangamagis we are disappointed.

Solid lobster rolls. Fries were soggy and under par. Coffee was good.

It’s less of a Pub and more of a diner than I expected, based on the name. The pub part is small, the restaurant is large, friendly and casual. Perfect lunch spot.
