Social Profile:

Poole’s Public House is a local, family-owned restaurant. Scott and Lisa are lifelong Spokane residents, both growing up on the north side of Spokane. They are both University of Montana alumni. Scott & Trevor played football for the Griz, so don’t be surprised by the amount of Griz stuff in the pub or the airing of Montana football on the big screen! The pubs are now co-owned by their sons, Tyler, Trevor and his wife Haylee. The Poole family would like to thank the customers who have helped them turn their dream into reality over the past 11 years. We couldn’t have done it without your support!

We were greeted and seated within minutes of walking in. Rustic tables. Good chairs. Ectlectic collection of Sports memorabilia, College and local High School penants and banners, and metal signs representing various whisky, wine, beer, brands, breweries and distilleries adorning the walls, gives the feeling of a sports bar without the noise. Family friendly, with a relaxed atmosphere that can handle the rowdy noise and energy of enthusiastic fans shouting their support and opinions of whatever team is playing.
The food was wonderful. Beautifully plated on white plates and bowls show casing the food on it.
Our server Ben was prompt, polite, attentive without being intrusive. Ben’s demeanor while taking our order and delivery of our food had the flare and respect of a waiter in a fancy restaurant. Good job Ben! We were impressed.

Service was great but limited number of servers available when we went at 1pm for lunch. Order the fried mushrooms and the steak bites for starters – both were very good, the steak bites were very tender! Had the lobster grilled cheese which had plenty of lobster in it with clam chowder as a side. The clam chowder was decent, not the best I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst either. The grilled cheese was a delight. Daughter-in-love had the chicken Alfredo and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had a great time at Poole’s! Visited for the first time, they have a nice variety of beers on tap. Fun friendly atmosphere. We split an appetizer, a chicken quesadilla that was perfectly prepared and delicious. The staff was really nice and friendly and even though it was pretty busy Miles, the guy taking care of us, took a few minutes explaining the tap selection and menu which I really appreciated. I’ll definitely be back!

First time eating here and everything was exceptional. From the food, to the service, and fun atmosphere. My family and I went in on an extremely busy night and were waiting for a table to come open, but none did in the 45 minutes we waited, so instead of them making us wait any longer they moved in a table from their patio and made room for it in the main dining area. I was shocked that they would do that, as most restaurants would just make you wait instead. I cannot praise them all enough for being so accommodating. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know, and will definitely be eating here when we are in town.

I had a wonderful experience at Poole’s Public House. Every dish we ordered was amazing, but what really stood out was the great service. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. A perfect spot for a great meal!

Love this “pub.” Fantastic staff, service/food is always fast and excellent, and it’s great place to watch sports. Plus they do trivia!

This is what locally owned gets you; love the family history of the place.

If you reading this, stop looking at the screen and start looking at what’s on tap ;).

Host/waiter Marcus was outstanding tonight. Even if he is a zags fan, ha.

I have been to Poole’s a few times, but wanted to share that this is a great place to eat!

The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food is fantastic! I haven’t had to wait long for a table, as they are very quick to clear tables and prep them for new guests. I would recommend eating here if in the area.

Great sports bar on the Northside of Spokane. Conveniently located near Whitworth University and Mead High School this long time locals favorite boasts a great varied menu, a cozy interior filled with local and national sports memorabilia and many big screens for sports watching. The service is attentive and friendly and the meals are delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Just an all around great spot and worth your business!

Let me preface with the fact that my waiter Marcus H was phenomenal. Unfortunately, he had to do multiple job roles which I can’t imagine how difficult that was. (Bartender and waiter) Absolutely adored his Mighty Ducks sweater! Very prompt with service and engaging. He ran the show today, that’s for sure. I’m guessing he’s a manager or needs a serious pay raise.
The waiter with the beautiful long dreads in the Spokane shirt served the larger group next to us and he was definitely spot on from what I could see. Great job!

I hate to leave anything negative however, the food was sub-par at best.

Kids grilled cheese: super dry bread, cheese needed to melt a little longer. Gator tots were very over fried.

Fish and chips: The batter was mushy and lacked flavor. Needed salt. The cod inside was dripping and watery. I’m not sure how it was prepared but the fish really needed to be patted down/dried off before frying – It would have made a huge difference. It’s very possible that it comes precooked and frozen which is completely out of the cooks hands. Fries were Perfectly cooked which I know came fresh from the cook

Alps: burger needed seasoning and lacked flavor all around. Arrived medium well done. The fries were very over fried.. it was basically chips at that point.

My margarita was very stiff (No complaints here!!! I needed that!! Thank you!!!) as mentioned earlier, my waiter was right on the ball as I finished to check if I would like another.

Overall, the atmosphere was fantastic and I think the choices of food were definitely right up my alley. This place has some serious potential! Just a few things to tweak in the long run. Honest review : 3.5/5

The person who took my order and set up a dining-only arrangement was outstanding. However, I was quite dissatisfied with the food. The taco shells were stale, the chips were also stale, and the nachos were missing ground beef, well in fairness there was some six jalapeños, and had minimal toppings. Had I paid the full menu price, I would have been extremely upset. It was peculiar that they did not include any nacho cheese sauce on the nachos; instead, they merely sprinkled a small amount of cheese on the chips and baked them. I could have easily replicated that at home. The nacho cheese sauce shown in the pictures is from my own kitchen, as I had to redo the dish entirely. After just a few bites, I found it inedible and ended up discarding it due to the stale chips.
