The staff are so patient and respectful. They will answer any question you have about the menu. This is a wonderful franchise to recommend a vegetarian family member or friend. The portion sizes are genuinely amazing. The prices are just right. The flavors of the wing, fries and tofu dishes are genuinely addicting in a good way. The Sweet potato fries were made to perfection and texture. Would definitely recommend this place

I have been to Ponko a few times at Lenox Mall some time ago, but I have never been to actual storefront. This location happens to be not even 5 minutes from my home, AND it’s the flagship location, which is pretty cool! I didn’t know that until I read some of the other reviews here.
I was craving a good chicken sandwich, and Ponko delivered! I got the sandwich combo with fries. I got the sandwich to be spicy too. It was SO GOOD. I got it to-go, as I had to get back home, but it travelled well and stayed hot! The portion size was about average. I was still pretty hungry after eating everything, but not a huge deal. I got a side of BBQ sauce as well. But the fries and sandwich tasted really really good!
Upon getting my food from the front register attendant, she even asked me if I wanted any additional sauces (free of charge), and I told her I would love the ranch and Ponko (OG) sauce. She was so friendly and was happy to give them to me.
While waiting for my food, I did a little walk around the place. This location is honestly, pretty big! They a bar, plenty of tables/booths/high tops, bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, and an outside area in the front where you can sit too! There is also a small condiments section too.
I love my visit to this location, and I look forward to coming back! They have a pretty decent sized menu too, so I may try something different the next time!

Panko Chicken has quickly become one of my favorite spots for incredible fried chicken. It has all the quality and consistency you’d expect from a place like Chick-fil-A, but with fresher, more unique flavors that feel premium without being intimidating—unlike some Korean BBQ–style restaurants.
The chicken is always crispy and flavorful, and I never feel weighed down or exhausted after eating here. Plus, the menu goes far beyond just fried chicken, so it’s easy to bring friends or family and still have plenty of great options for everyone.
The sides are delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff brings an awesome energy that makes every visit enjoyable. Highly recommend!

edit: much much better experience coming back. staff was more understanding/ patient and better vibes all around. Dr. Sall is very nice and understanding and worked very hard to make this a better experience. He truly cares for others. Chicken had the same good crunch and wasn’t as salty this time. 🙂
chicken wasn’t great, but wasn’t terrible. the crunch was nice but the sauce was overly salty. the customer service however was horrible. cashier was rushing us and just snappy. My party had never been here before and wasn’t familiar with the menu. My dad asked for 2 peices and she just said “so a kids meal” in a snappy voice. My dad was confused and said “oh not a kids meal, just 2 peices” she once again snapped back “so a kids meal” Would it have been so hard to simply say, “The kids meals have 2 peices and the adult meals start at 3” in a polite voice? I’m not saying you have to bend over backwards and be ecstatic but I expect to not be treated like a nuisance. Keep in mind there was no line, at all. It wouldn’t have been a major inconvenience to explain.

What a fantastic experience from start to finish. The vibe inside was warm, welcoming, and super clean—you can tell they really care about their space and their guests. I was greeted immediately when I walked in, and every staff member I interacted with was genuinely friendly and upbeat.
I placed a pickup order, and everything was 100% correct (which already earns bonus points), but the real win was how delicious the food was—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
Efficient, welcoming, and seriously good food. Ponko Chicken in Chamblee is doing it right. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back.

Every time my family and I visit Ponko, we are never disappointed. The food is always amazing, and the service is consistently top-tier. You can truly tell they care about quality and their customers.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the CEO, Patrick, who is a wonderful man. He personally welcomed my family, which made the experience even more special. The restaurant is extremely clean—including the bathrooms—which says a lot about their standards.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at PONKO chicken. I got the kid-sized tofu tender plate with sweet potato fries, and it was the perfect portion for me at the moment. The service was amazing, and even helped me with the menu while being patient. I liked that there was a kiosk, especially if you need more time to think. The food was great, had wonderful flavor, and the fries were crispy enough. I would definitely come back to try more items.

Today was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. This restaurant is fantastic! The food is fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly healthy for a chicken spot. Everything is cooked perfectly and tastes great. The place is clean and well-kept, which makes dining in really enjoyable. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and was helpful. Overall, a great experience — highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious, healthy food in a clean and friendly environment!
