Worst place I’ve ever ate at. No AC, it’s 98 degrees outside and they said it’s doesn’t work. they didn’t know how to work the fans. Every single table was dirty. Piles of plates for the entire time we were there. We had to ask for a clean table. Waitress sleeping by pop machine when I went to ask for a cup of water. Buffet area dirty. Floors dirty. Not recommended. Do better!

I’ve been to Ponderosa before, but this was my first visit to their breakfast buffet. A small selection of breakfast staples were available including scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, country fried steak and some others. Also an adequate salad and fruit bar were both well stocked.
The somewhat limited selection of food that they did have available was actually all pretty great. My server was a phenomenal lady. Funny, kind and attentive to my drink needs the entire time I was there.
My cheesecake dessert was also pretty darn good. So, for $15 I had several plates of very decent food and great service. My only complaint was a lack of entree options to choose from. Definitely worth a visit especially if you are super hungry in the morning.

2023 Update: So we went back here for lunch. Their selections improved a little bit. But still super limited compared to all the buffets I’ve been to. Taste was just okay. Salad was fresh so +1 for that.
2022: Worst buffet that I’ve been to! Lamest selections ever. Been to Ponderosa in Clare and they have better selections. This was our first time trying this branch and assume will gonna be the same as what in Clare but not even close. Totally disappointed.

My wife and I stopped for a nice meal. Lady taking order was angry. My wife got the buffet. She could not eat any of it. Was horrible food. I got the T bone steak. Again only words to use is horrible. Never going back. Someone needs to get health department involved!!!

Just the most delicious lunch here today! Ordered the Prawn Baby Prawn meal. Grilled shrimp were delicious and the ribeye medium was cooked to perfection. Wife always orders her steak well done, and it was also cooked perfect. The wings on the buffet were hot, fresh and crunchy. Our server Aimee was very friendly, and on top of it for all our needs. Compliments to the chef for a great steak! Keep up the good work guys! Definitely will be back!

I’m glad a Ponderosa is still open in 2026. The food was everything I remembered it to be, less the pink cool whip pudding concoction which wasn’t present. Staff was nice even though I was a weirdo who was overly excited about visiting a buffet since the one by me closed in 2008.

Waitress never asked if we wanted a refill, she asked everybody else not us we paid over three dollars for a drink. Never got one refill. That’s my brother. He got he got milk and never got a refill so what did he he could’ve went and went and got it cheaper by a gallon of milk and bring it with us.

Went for dinner and got the sirloin tips entree which was good. The buffet didn’t have many options and the dessert was even worse sadly. Nothing looked fresh especially the bread pudding for dessert. The actual salad bar was stocked well though with many different ingredients. The waitress were wonderful and on top of clearing of our table and keeping our drinks refilled. Seems pretty expensive for a low end Buffett and only got a $1 military discount which even our sauteed onions costs more then that. Overall I think I would choose to dine somewhere else for what I paid

I’ve always liked Ponderosa, but lately it’s gone downhill. They changed the wing recipe and totally ruined them — they used to be my favorite thing there. And now they’re even charging for steak and fries? Fries were always included before. Just feels like they’re cutting corners, and it’s really disappointing. The service however was tremendous! Nothing bad at all to say about the service!
