Ponderosa brings back many fond memories of growing up. Was my favorite as a child and still is as a adult. Their steaks are very tasty and tender. If you’ve never tried their own steak sauce then give it a try it’s very good. The buffet has many options anywhere from meats to salad to soup to dessert. Staff is always friendly and down to earth. Overall a great place to eat.

Good place to eat. Friendly service. Good food. Always fresh and hot at this location. Usually gets busy by noon for lunch crowd. Lunch buffet is only $8.79. Even the local police eat here, Which says the food must be good. Never had an issue here.

By far one of the worst places we have eaten at in some time. Starting with the appearance. Old and dirty feeling. The food some was ok but most was not very good at all. We ordered our steaks medium and they came out RAW. Not to mention we waited 27 minutes for them. The food bar was always full however no soup bowls and no bowls for the ice cream. Desert area was very messy. The highlight of our visit was our waitress. She was attentive and cleared our table efficiently. Even if they clean the place up we won’t go back because the food was just not good.

The salad bar was good. I started out with a salad, carrot salad, cucumber and onion salad.
The broccoli and cheese soup was really thick and I felt like it was just butter and heavy cream.
The meat loaf was good, the potatoes were okay. The fries green tomatoes were soggy and the onion rings looked weird. The dinner rolls were good.
My family did enjoy this restaurant. Everyone left full.

Our steaks were cooked perfectly But i tried the buffalo pasta on the salad bar & didn’t like it. But their mac & cheese was great My waitress was a 5 star girl!! The ice cream machine was broke but the carrot cake made up for it I was really happy with the salad bar….it was fresh & clean ✌

Do not go. This place gets one star review because our waitress and manager were so nice. The “food” was beyond disgusting. Most expensive food I’ve ever thrown away. I had 2 steaks prepared and both were bad. The first was so bad it made me gag. The smell of rotten food. A steak is not supposed to be gray or white.. Better for breakfast on the weekends. Not bad for lunch or dinner on the weekends. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time. Three types of potatoes, hash brown casserole, tater tots, and fried potatoes. Biscuits and gravy was awesome. Many breakfast sweets and also regular soups and salad bar in case you don’t want breakfast. Service was friendly, cashier was attentive. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
