Walked in on a Sunday evening and were seated outdoors. All the dishes were very well executed and the staff were warm and welcoming!

Must order: Hokkaido milk bread rolls & Korean fried duck leg⭐️

The duck breast was very thick, juicy, and paired really well with the fennel salad on the side.

“the meal ends with a complimentary slice of whatever seasonal fruit is currently at its peak”
We got slices of Shin Li Asian pear, which was the perfect way to close out the meal.

Came in with high expectations but left annoyed and disappointed.

First off, they automatically add a 20% service charge, so I guess that means they don’t have to actually be nice to you. The service was rude from the start. When I ordered, the server said “you have to order everything at once,” not explaining, just attitude. Later, I asked about dessert early and she hit me with a “what?” I literally went silent.

Now the food… straight-up mid.
• Milk bread: cold and hard, why bother.
• Duck leg: honestly good, crispy, flavorful, no complaints here.
• Ugly mushroom pasta: delicious, rich, earthy, easily the best dish.
• Trout: tasted fishy in a bad way, bland, and took forever to come out. For $45, that’s just embarrassing.
• Plum upside-down cake: mild, boring, and not worth the calories.

Also, I was seated at the bar and it was freezing cold the entire time. Between the attitude, the wait, and the mediocre food, this place is all hype and zero warmth, literally and figuratively.

Cozy date night idea – chef de cuisine is from one of my favorite restaurants in the city! They have many creative takes on the produces you can get at Farmers Market.

The turnip tots was my favorite dish! Must try before they change the menu; they mentioned that they change it frequently! I’ll definitely be back again.

Phenomenal taste, well-balanced flavors, and fresh locally-sourced ingredients with excellent service. In particular we loved the carrots, korean fried duck, mushroom pasta, milk buns, duck, sole, and steak. Easily one of my favorite meals in the bay area and dining experiences this year.

The food was delicious. I’m a vegetarian so I ordered about four appetizers. That was my meal and they were delicious. My favorite out of them was turnip and the pudding. The Service was top-notch. The chef actually walked up to the table chatted for a while, and the ambience was great as well.

It’s an authentic farm to table fine dining restaurant with freshly cooked fusion cuisines. They have daily menu with reservation required.
Reservation requires deposits.
Service is quick and responsive.
Flat entry for accessibility and wider tables could be accommodated upon retest.
Every dish has a story of ingredients and process.
Limited but high quality items with all options available.
Food is delicious and freshly prepared to order.
Ambient is worst and romantic, great for date night, couples and occasions.

We dined at Pomet for my wife’s birthday and we were thoroughly pleased with the service and the food. This was the first time that we went to a $$$-$$$$ restaurant in the Bay Area and left fully happy.

We ordered the butter lettuce salad, egg pudding and Korean quail for starters. The salad was delicious, pudding really good but the quail was the winner of the 3, smoky, tender and cooked to perfection.

For mains we started with the duck which was super tasty. We finished with the steak and it was incredible. Really good, the winner of the night.

We paired everything with a bottle of Zinfandel from their wine menu. It was probably the best Zinfandel that we’ve had for a while.

For desert, we order the chiffon and we enjoyed every bite of it. Not overly sweet and creamy, just the right amount!

Thank you Pomet!

Lovely experience! I went by myself to enjoy a delicious meal and was not disappointed. Staff were very friendly, informative, and attentive and made me feel very welcome. Crispy duck leg starter was crispy skin on the exterior velvety meat on the inside. Nice sweet and a little spicy coating. A little too sweet for me. It almost felt like an entrée eating it by myself. Would have been perfect to share. Got the short rib which came with lettuce and a very spicy mustard on the side to make little lettuce wraps. Meat seemed a little dry, but tender, and the fat portion cooked perfectly so that it melted in the mouth. This also would have been perfect to share. Seems like most of their plates are oriented that way, small sharing plates. Next time I’ll bring more people with me so I can sample more of this thoughtfully and expertly prepared food. Atmosphere feels elegant but comfortable and warm. Loved every bit!

The menu takes farm to table seriously. The menu is thoughtfully inclusive of a variety of fresh produce and proteins from local farmers. That much isn’t lost on me. But, I found the food to be only OK, even a bit underseasoned overall. As somewhat of a homesteader, I can appreciate eating local produce, but I was left underwhelmed with the meal at the price point.

We came for a birthday and ordered each entree and the bread, pasta, quail from the starters and each had it’s highlights, but again each fell short of a well rounded dish.

As far as the service is concerned, it was mediocre. The staff was eager to take the order, but disappeared after the plates were served. We had to look for people when we needed more water, and not a single person checked to make sure the meal was to our liking. For a restaurant at this price point and caliber, I suppose I expected more.

I think it’s worth a try, but perhaps not a regular occurrence.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience. Every dish demonstrated well balanced flavor, texture, acidity, and portions. All ingredients are high quality. Ambience is romantic. Staff are attentive and they care a lot about the dining experience. Even the restroom is well maintained. Nothing concrete I could criticize yet.
