What a wonderful way to kick off the new year with a great event! It was my first time trying Polish cuisine, and I loved every bite. Every dish was made from scratch and full of authentic flavors — truly a treat.
The restaurant itself is beautiful — the long mural, the decorations, everything has a charming, native touch that makes the space feel special. The upstairs area was a lot of fun, and the Polish vodka and DJ music added a lively, festive touch to the atmosphere.
There is also convenient parking near the restaurant, which made the visit even better. I can’t wait to come back!
Prices are fair also.
The dill soup is a must!
We love the city chicken and their kapusta is fantastic! Well worth the drive to Hamtramck.
Shown in the pic are the hot meatloaf sandwich and pork chop sandwich. Both were great! I believe the pork chop sandwich was on homemade bread. Very good.
The Dill Pickle Soup is an absolute revelation—creamy, tangy, and a must-try for any visitor. I can’t get enough of their Hungarian Goulash served over potato pancakes; the pancakes are perfectly crisp, and the stew is rich and tender. Whether you’re going for the classic Pierogi or the massive City Chicken, the portions are huge and the flavors are deeply nostalgic. It’s the ultimate comfort food destination in Michigan!
Beef barley mushroom soup is fabulous.
Mushroom crepes are top notch (maybe a little less gravy so you can see some of the beautiful crepe
Meat pierogi are also delicious
Homemade goodness
Recommendation- the young man who cleans the tables and puts down the silverware, bread and water should be a waiter because he is the only person who speaks Polish (other than the kitchen staff) and he is so nice.
As for the service… We had a lovely dining experience! The staff were all so welcoming and accommodating. Our waitress was fantastic; she was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It truly elevated our meal to have such friendly service. We will definitely be back!
As for the atmosphere… I really enjoy places with a more modern design. This place has a bright and open floor plan is so refreshing. It’s nice to have some space and not feel crowded. The atmosphere was very inviting! It makes it a great place to eat and feel comfortable while you eat.
As for their prices…I was so pleasantly surprised by how affordable everything was! It felt like stepping back in time to when dining out didn’t break the bank. The portions were generous, too, which made it even more of a value. It’s great to see a place keeping prices reasonable for their customers. We’ll definitely be back!
The buser lady kept trying to take our plates before we were done eating . We only had our food for like 10 mins . Felt super rushed…
They have street parking and paid parking lot which services the whole street.
They offer a large variety of polish dishes as well as some simple American items.
On this trip I picked up a mean for my grandfather and got home the polish trio dinner with soup . $13 for a full meal is a good deal.
It took about 20 mins and we were ready to go.
The servers and sweet and take the order and make sure you know what you’re getting. They have a bar seating area as well a booths and tables
This place is handicapped accessible.
10 outta 10 every time !
