They’re fried chicken is delicious. Notice the smooth batter dipped skin layer ….. which is delicious btw. I usually don’t like eating the skin layering on fried chicken but there’s is hard to resist. Other fried chicken places tend to have a globby coating which is often too greasy. Occasionally you can find a Popeye’s, Publix, Bojangles or another place that does it right but most can’t compare to how these chicken thighs taste. Underneath that skin layer is steaming, moist and flavorful meat. I prefer the thigh which are a nice size. The breasts are delicious as well. All the locations I’ve been to in Northern Virginia and Laurel Md have been excellent. Years ago they offered Black Beans and White Rice which I preferred over the red beans that are now offered. I never order them…. instead I get the sweet plantains. This location prepares the fried sweet plantains perfectly…..also delicious. The roll that comes with the plate is basic and nothing to rave about. The menu has a lot of options such as French fries and grilled chicken to please those wanting different options. Also available are some nice ethnic drinks and desserts from the area of the world the restaurant is themed after. ( I believe Guatemala) They have a very nice and pleasant staff. Both the eating space and restrooms are very clean.
A couple Pollo Campero locations opened up in the Orlando Fl area where I live. I was very disappointed when I went there and had expectations of what I was used to getting and the locations up north. I told a staff member at this location being surveyed in Woodbridge Va. that they needed to go to the Orlando locations and teach them how to make Pollo Campero chicken right.

Worst experience ever I went and try to buy 8 pcs mix I usually asked if I can get more wings instead of legs and every time I come here the staff is so friendly and always makes sure I get more wings. This time my experience was extremely bad the manager Maria was helping and when I asked if I can get more wings instead she completely did not want to help. I will never return to this restaurant. Every Pollo Campero I go they never denied me from getting just wings but this time the Woodbridge location really disappointed me.

I would give this place a zero if I could. They offer delivery service (which is uber) they didn’t give the uber driver all the food. The uber driver blames the restaurant and I ask for a refund for the food not delivered, they told me I have to call corporate first. This place sucks not the first time I’ve had issues at this same place.

The fried chicken is very tasty here, and coleslaw is actually good. I prefer a real biscuit with my chicken but at least they serve a roll. The bathrooms were clean, so that makes me happy lol.. I will return

I honestly don’t know what’s going on with this restaurant every time I come for a simple spicy chicken sandwich 4/5 times they don’t have it available and say it needs to be a 10 or 15 minute wait, I understand you are getting it fresh at that point but sometimes you just don’t have the available time especially during lunch to wait.

I ordered the 8 piece family meal,half grilled, half fried the food was fresh and hot, service was good,my only thing is going to the restaurant twice after my first visit they were out of grilled chicken how does this happen? And the wait time is un heard of like half an hour long?! No way this is one of the staple menu items, they should always have chicken on rotation! Either their is a wait or they have ran out completely!

Order the 12 pc family meal with the sides of beans, rice, and plantains – total of $55.38. They give you so little rice and beans that will only feed two people enough for a family meal. Chicken is good but forget the rest of the food.
