I had high hopes for this restaurant. The atmosphere and service was excellent. However, you know, it goes down to the food. For the price per food value, it was a little high. Main reason is the food was very spicy when we didn’t ask for spicy. Just regular carnia sada tacos were very spicy. My wet burrito wasn’t too wet. And the tortilla felt slightly stale. My better have pointed out.It was also extremely salty.

Borracha is a good neighborhood spot for food & drinks. The service is usually good, but food quality is inconsistent. The same dish will be very spicy one day, and not spicy at all another day. On our most recent visit, the appetizer and meal all came out at the same time.

I’ve come to Borrachas at least a dozen times. The food is great. The drinks are STRONG. And the service is always efficient. Of all the times I’ve been here, my favorite waitress has been Jodine (Jo). I’ve had her as a waitress twice and both times she has been so pleasant. Whenever I have family or friends in town I always recommend that they come here.

We had an absolutely fantastic dinner at Borracha Mexican Cantina! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant, Day of the Dead–inspired décor and festive atmosphere set the tone for a memorable night.

Our server, Jodine, was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu. She walked us through recommendations, made sure our drinks were always topped off, and made us feel welcomed and taken care of the entire time. Her service truly elevated the experience.

The food was outstanding. Every dish we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented — from the tortillas to the inventive burritos and Baja fish tacos. The quality of the ingredients and the bold flavors really stood out.

Huge shoutout to GM David for running such a well-organized, fun, and friendly environment. You can tell the team really enjoys what they do — and it shows in the hospitality and overall vibe.

Nice chill place. Nice atmosphere. Staff was good. Food portions are alright. Ordered a pitcher of Black Cherry margarita (not on menu). Server suggested it, it was great!! Nice taste and nice amount of alcohol. Liked that they brought out chips and salsa once seated

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, attentive, and professionally executed. The vibrant, Day-of-the-Dead-inspired atmosphere creates energy and character, yet it is the leadership in the kitchen that truly defines the experience. Executive Chef Miguel Roman sets a tone of excellence that is immediately evident in both service and presentation.

Chef Roman’s special, the Chilean Seabass, was a masterclass in culinary precision. Impeccably prepared, perfectly cooked, and elegantly plated, the dish demonstrated refined technique and a thoughtful balance of flavor. Every detail reflected discipline, craftsmanship, and pride. Beyond the plate, Chef Roman’s personal engagement and visible commitment to quality elevated the entire evening.

We love this place! The cadillac margs are amazing because they’re good AND they get the job done. Shared a pitcher with my husband and we were feeling gooooood after. The salsa that comes with the chips is also really good, especially before ordering their big portions of food! Highly recommend the slow roasted carnitas!
