I love the polka deli, they have such a wide variety of meats, cheeses, desserts, and side dishes in the deli. And the store has a wide selection of groceries such as candies, mustard, pantry items, frozen goods like pierogies. And don’t forget the fresh lunches/dinners that they make in their kitchen. Everything is delicious, well prepared, and priced just right!

8/16/25 – We sat and ate stuffed cabbage, roast potatoes & homemade pierogi with kielbasa for lunch.
We bought many other fresh items such as gorgeous polish ham and hunters bacon. Thank you.
One taste and instantly transported back to Europe.

Very specialized deli with focus on Polish foods. Short but varied menu with sandwiches and platters along with several types of imported sausage and cold cuts in a deli case. The deli section also contains some salads and beautiful cheesecakes. Deli menu posted on their web site.

The fresh Polish sausage was very good as was the traditional smoked version – both very savory.

There are a couple small tables (6 people total) and a counter along a window providing places to eat a quick lunch.

A nice break for lunch and I’m glad a coworker told me about the Polka Deli as the sausages were so much better tasting than those in the regular grocery stores. We took some with us for cooking later and will return again (a bit of a drive around the beltway then up 650 about 10 minute)

The staff were polite and friendly. I had the Kielbasa Ruben and the potato and cheese pierogies. They were so delicious. But the cheesecake!!! Thick, creamy but not sweet. Absolutely perfect. My pictures are bad but trust me, the food was amazing.

Oh I love me some polish food!!! First time here and tried potato pierogi and stuffed cabbage. I love cabbage pierogis, but they only have potato and sauerkraut options. I would love to see more options! The stuffed cabbage was good. The potato salad was really good – I loved how small the potatoes were! Online ordering is available but you can walk in and order. Hoping to try the kielbasa next time! Will be back soon!

My parents were supposed to come visit us in MN for Thanksgiving, but due to health issues, had to cancel. Being good midwesterners, we decided to show our love with food. I called Polka Deli and they were so wonderful as they helped me put together a selection of foods for my parents. And this is in the week before Thanksgiving, when I’m sure they were plenty busy. My dad was able to pick up the food today and they’re very excited. Huge, huge thank you to Polka Deli for their help and their food!

DANG, WOW, HOLY…..

What an AMAZING, OUTSTANDING, GLORIOUS customer service!

I called in my order (I’m a virgin with this place), and even though we were on the phone, you could feel how wonderful the person on the other side was.

Then, after 40 minutes, I arrived since I was driving from Virginia.

The experience was even better! A warm smile paired with a how may I help you was the perfect and refreshing greeting after all the traffic and time. It was as if the lady was happy to see me… I can’t put my finger on it, but she made you feel at peace , and as if the world was pure bliss. Just an amazing personality.

FOOD:

The Kilbasa Reuben, simple but full of flavor. The bread, sausage, and mustard blended harmoniously. I couldn’t stop eating it. The only thing I didn’t like was that I didn’t get two or more. It was very, very good.

Polish sampler: A little bit of everything, but everything was spot on. If you’re like.
Me that you have never been to this deli, then you definitely must go for the sampler.

Cheesecake: This is the preferred way a diabetic wants to die….. DELICIOUS! Not the American store sweet version. The perfect grandma sweetness version.

Sweet Cheese Crepes: Oh YEAH!!! Brings back beautiful memories from when I had them in Russia.

Filled Donut: (don’t remember the name) Only item not my cup of tea. Again, tastes were there. Just for me, something was missing. I think that I got used to a bit more moisture. I do remember it was similar to the ones I had in Russia.

Potato Salad: It definitely fills me up with memories and flavors.

PARKING:

Lots of space. You shouldn’t have problems with it.

SUMMARY :

The food was GREAT! The atmosphere was normal, but the customer service was out of this world. They have to thank God, they’re so far from me because they would have to kick me out!

This place is super delicious!! If you have never had Polish food this is the place to try it first. All of the food is homemade. Treat yourself to the AMAZING pork sandwich and some pierogis! The stuffed cabbage and all of the sausage sandwiches are very tasty. Their deserts are excellent. They have a great Polish grocery section as well as option to buy a variety of sausage by the pound. Just go here!

Hard to find a Polish deli but there’s a nice one in Silver Spring where you can find kielbasa, kraut & mushrooms, good sandwiches including schnitzel, stuffed cabbage, crepes and lots of tasty traditional cakes. It’s also a market so you can buy imported polish delights. I had a nice ham & cheese sandwich with potato salad. It’s not NY or Philadelphia but it’s adequate for DC. I also understand that they bring items down from their sister store in NY. Enjoyed the pirogi & kielbasa with kraut & horseradish

Such a great spot for polish food in the DC area. I brought my polish fiancée here and he lost his mind over the sausages and pierogi! The woman working at the counter was so friendly and knowledgeable and gave us samples to try of everything.
